Hello, how are you? The weather is very Gloomy and rainy today, and I love this kind of weather no sweat all day and it inspired me to paint again. I was looking for something to do today, and I saw the tote bag I bought months or months ago. I forgot already LOL.

My idea is what if I painted one of the oil pastel art I drew before and yeah it is been a while since I painted tote bag so I am so excited and worried at the same time but I am confident I can do it hehehe so yeah I am going to paint the tote bag I bought using acrylic that I will convert into a fabric paint by adding a medium to do the job.

Materials I Used:

  • Tote Bag
  • Colored Pencil
  • Tape
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Tissue
  • Jar of Water
  • Textile Medium
  • Pallete
  • Pallete Knife

Craft Time!

First things first is to prepare all the materials in one place, and then I squeeze out all the color I am going to need.

To make the acrylic paint fabric paint, I added equal parts of fabric paint.

And using a palette knife, I mix everything.

I am going to use this oil pastel art I drew before as my reference. I drew the line art using colored pencil.

And then I start painting. I start with the first orange, and then after that I decided to outline the pencil outline with acrylic so it is visible enough when I layer it with paints.

And I painted the leaves second. I layered it with darker green.

The orange is looking like orange now, and then I started adding the background color.

And then I started adding highlights, and then I completely painted the background.

And then I added the final detail, which is the one I scratched on the original drawing, but I could do it on the painting, so I just use a mute white to do that and I really like how it turns out.
