Pear Gloom Handmade Clay Keychain

Copy of heart gloom.jpg

Hello, how are you? To end this month, I am going to make Pear Gloom using polymer clay, of course LOL, and I am going to use a keychain for the charm.

The idea for this is that I am so fascinated by the pear I know about, which is light pale yellow, but the pear from abroad is green, which I wish we had here in the Philippines too.

So yeah, last time I drew a pear using oil pastels, but today I am going to show you how I make Pear Gloom. Enjoy!

Materials I Used:

  • Polymer Clay
  • Weighing Scale
  • Needle Tool
  • Dotting Tool
  • Clay Hole Cutter
  • X- Acto Knife
  • Metal Ball
  • UV Resin
  • UV Lamp
  • Nail Polish Brush
  • Disposable Gloves
  • Mask
  • Acrylic Stamping Block
  • Soft Pastels
  • Brush
  • Eyepin
  • Oven
  • Pliers
  • Keychain

Craft Time!

I am going to shades the clay I am going to use, so I am going to use a lighter clay this color I am going to use. By the way, I condition the clay.

Weigh it and shape it into a pear shape.

And then using the metal ball. I added a dent to where the head of Gloom I am going to put in.

Using soft pastels and a brush, I added shades using different green colors.

For the stem, I use brow clay, shape it, and add it above the pear.

14.JPG

For the head of Gloom, I am going to use a skin tone clay, weigh and condition it just like I did to the pear.

15.JPG

16.JPG

Shape it into a head shape. By using my palm, make sure the outer part is completely smooth.

19.JPG

And then I put the head in the dent I made on the pear.

20.JPG

21.JPG

Then I added a map using the dotting tool.

22.JPG

24.JPG

For the eyes, I rolled a small dark brown clay and then added it one by one to the map I made earlier.

25.JPG

27.JPG

For the eyebrows, I use the same size as the eyes, and then for the nose, I use pastel pink and shape it into a triangle, and add those to the face.

28.JPG

29.JPG

Cut the bottom part only to make a heart-shaped nose.

30.JPG

31.JPG

For the lips, I rolled a thin line and cut it with an X-Acto knife, and then added it to the face one by one.

33.JPG

34.JPG

For the blush, I use soft pastel and apply it using a brush.

36.JPG

37.JPG

And before I baked, I added the eyepin and then baked it according to the instructions on the packaging of the clay, and let the clay cool off before proceeding to the next step.

38.JPG

39.JPG

To add a clear coat and protection at the same time, I use UV resin, and then I apply it using a nail polish brush.

40.JPG

41.JPG

Cure it under a UV Lamp for a few minutes.

42.JPG

43.JPG

To add the keychain, I first put in the jump ring along with the keychain on the eyepin.

44.JPG

46.JPG

And then lock it using my two pliers.

45.JPG

Pear Gloom! I hope you like it! :D
