Thanos From Squid Game Oil Pastel Portrait

Hello, how are this oil pastel portrait I am going to show is what I drew last year, and I forgot that I drew this one, so I was practicing portraits using oil pastel before, and that time I realized that I needed to draw more of it, and one of the portraits that I drew is T.O.P and that time he was known as Thanos in Squid Game. But I’ve known him as T.O.P from Big Bang. Now he is a soloist and doing fine.
Materials I Used:
- 200 Gsm Paper
- Oil Pastels
Craft Time!
Prepare all the materials on the desk, and then I draw the line art of the portrait by eyeballing it, but I should’ve drawn it with pencil first LOL.
I start with the skin tone first. I like to layer where the shadows are.
Something is missing from the portrait, and then I remembered. I like to outline the line art first, but I got so excited that I did it in this part.
And then I intensified the shadow by layering it with darker shades.
In the reference, he had yellowish and pinkish skin due to the background, so I decided to follow that.
I almost forgot to add attention to his hair, so I did his hair is a mix of black and bluish purplish color. For the highlight of the skin, I like to use an accent highlight, like using a pastel light green as it and to not waste time, I decided to leave the uncolored part for the highlights.
As I said earlier, his background is pinkish pastel, so I did that and finalized the portrait. I used a dark color to make the portrait have dimension.
I hope you like it. :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
