Unboxing and Swatching The Mungyo Oil Pastels Birthday Gift To Myself

Hello, how are you? Today one of my gifts to myself got delivered from South Korea, and I've been waiting for it for about a week now. I've been wanting to buy this brand of oil pastel for years now, and I found a shop that sells it on sale. Luckily, I got a lot of discount for a surprise reason, so I took that as a sign to buy it, so I did haha.
As an oil pastel lover, I started to crave better-quality oil pastels, and I like to step up my artistry. I am happy that I am getting loose on treating myself better, because why not? In this kind of situation happening in this world better do things I love and buy things that I love. And it motivates me to keep going, to be honest. So, by the way, I bought it on a famous online shopping platform at a discounted price
Unboxing Time!
It was packed in bubble wrap only, and I am nervous that the pastel inside is not broken or damaged. That's the most important thing. Forget about the box protecting it that's its purpose of it to be honest.
It came with two layers of boxes, and the main box has a texture that feels expensive and high-quality, so plus points for that. I bought the 72-color set, but they have a 120-color set, so I chose this.
It came with a booklet of the swatches of the oil pastel and the color information. And it has a foam to protect the oil pastels.
Beautiful shade of colors. I was gasping while unboxing this LOL.
I didn't expect this to be that big, but the Crayola is slightly bigger, so I am not that intimidated to hold it.
Gotta swatch it on my palm how smooth it is. I do this to all the oil pastels I bought. Can't help it LOL.
Here are the swatches of the color. The top part is the swatches only, and the bottom part is a swatch with blending.
There is a difference between swatching it only and blending it. Here are the close up look.
I can't wait to share what I can draw using these oil pastels. I am going to calm myself down because I felt overwhelmed and excited at the same time, so I cannot function at all.
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
