I was meditating one day on the amount of tears that have been shed throughout history, in the different stages of history. When the Egyptians forced the pyramids to be built with whips, when Alexander the Great conquered half the world, when Jesus was crucified, when America was discovered, the slavery of the blacks, the world wars, how can we forget the holocaust! The natural tragedies, the plagues, the diseases, the Cobid 19, in short?

I think an ocean would be filled with every tear shed during those events, which are few, compared to the years of world events, but I am more than sure, that the ones that were not shed are twice as many by the small measure.

Many grandfathers thought in their times that men should not cry, that it was only for women, the machismo rooted in many countries, has been a repressor of feelings, the one who appears to be stronger is the one who retains his tears.

And so, analyzing how many have endured their pain in the world, from Adam when he was expelled from paradise, to Judas for handing over Christ, to Bolivar discovering that he was hooping in the sea, to Darwin not finding his missing link, to Einstein's lament for giving the world the formula for its self-destruction?

Those I have mentioned are part of history and their lives and trajectory are well known, but what about the forgotten ones who do not appear in the books, the common citizen, the one who day by day faces personal survival. How many tears will he have retained? The one who does not receive a year-end bonus, who does not have enough to feed his children, who cannot buy a pair of shoes, who works long hours without achieving prosperity, who suffers from a disability and is ignored, whose age limits him to work.

Approximately our body is composed of sixty percent of liquid, how much is destined to tears? I don't really know, but one thing is certain, crying is an outlet and holding back tears poisons the organism.

My advice to those who read me, if your life is heavy and you need to give a desperate cry, do not hesitate to grab a pillow and cry what you have never cried, that will be between you and God, in case they see you, get informed! It is not a crime and you are human.
