I think we can all agree that Dragon Ball Z is better than Dragon Ball Super. I'm not saying DBS is a bad series, but obviously, DBZ is above it.
Creo que todos estamos de acuerdo con que Dragón Ball Z es mejor que Dragón Ball súper. No digo que DBS sea una mala serie, pero obviamente, DBZ está por encima.
Personally, I think that the most criticized point of DBS is the excessive infantilization. The fights are often limited to a game of lights and blood, practically disappeared. But the worst thing is to see how Goku became so stupid and dumb.
En lo personal, pienso que el punto más criticable de DBS es la infantilización excesiva. Las peleas muchas veces se limitan a un juego de luces y la sangre, prácticamente desapareció. Pero lo peor es ver como Goku se volvió tan estúpido y tonto.
I enjoyed DBS, but several times Goku's personality caused me embarrassment and discomfort. He almost never took things seriously, very immature, very naive and too childish. Sorry if I sound too hater, but I feel that they ruined Goku a lot in the last few years. For wanting to appeal to a younger audience, they turned one of anime's most beloved characters into almost brainless.
In contrast, Goku from DBZ is a very good character and protagonist. He promotes the values of training and discipline. Although he is a bit clumsy and innocent, he took important situations seriously. He is shown as a martial arts master and strategist. Willing to defend his loved ones and his planet with his life. It is normal that so many people love this Goku.
Unfortunately, DBS in general is more childish. The fights lost a lot of violence and rawness. The plot doesn't take itself too seriously. Jokes and funny moments at inopportune times. And the gore is no longer there.
DBZ was never an adult series as such, but it wasn't for kids either. It was an anime for teenagers. On the one hand, there were somewhat childish moments, but on the other hand, there were very violent and crude moments. The problem is that DBS is directly oriented to a very childish audience. That's why, at times, it was very uncomfortable to watch.

His childish and disrespectful attitude was very embarrassing. He was acting like a child in front of a Kaio Sama apprentice. He was grabbing him while telling him that he was strong and wanted to fight him. For me it was a very uncomfortable scene.

CAP 60 - Trunks and the others return to the future.
They find Mai badly injured and unconscious. Trunks asks Goku for a hermit seed to give her. Because of Mai's condition, he has to give it to her mouth to mouth. Goku is extremely surprised by a kiss... It's like, he's a father and grandfather and he's surprised by a kiss??. And he tells Vegeta that he never gave one... Really, it's very pitiful and pathetic situation.
CAP 60 - Trunks junto a los demás, vuelven al futuro.
Encuentran a Mai muy herida e inconsciente. Trunks le pide una semilla del ermitaño a Goku para dársela. Por el estado de Mai, se la tiene que dar de boca a boca. goku se sorprende de sobremanera por un beso… Es como ¿? Él es padre y abuelo y se sorprende por un beso???? Y le dice a Vegeta que nunca dio uno… De verdad, es muy lamentable y patética la situación.

At one point, Freiza along with Paragus and Broly is giving a speech. It's a serious and tense moment, it seems that at any moment a fight starts and Goku interrupts to ask, "what's inhospitable?". There was no better way to ruin the moment.

Maybe I'm being a little nitpicky and over the top, but I'm a little saddened by the turn this franchise we all love has taken.

Yo dejé de amar Dragón ball cuando comenzó GT, allí murió para mí. Fue como echar todo a la basura, y con Dbs ni se diga, nada que ver. Saludos
Hiciste lo correcto, desde que terminó la saga de Boo, comenzó el declive. Aunque la saga del torneo del poder estuvo buena y la transformación del ultra instinto también.

I did not like Goku incarnation in Super, I often found him irritating because he behaves like a complete idiot. However, it seems like in the manga his personality is more similar to how he was in DBZ.
A friend told me the same thing as you. That the anime and manga Goku have different personalities. At least readers can avoid embarrassment hahaha.

I think your comparison makes a lot of sense. Certainly there are aspects in which many of the characters were changing, but for the worse as is the case with Goku.
