Today I want to show you one of my most precious treasures. Something that accompanied me most of my life and that I keep with much appreciation.


Hoy les quiero mostrar uno de mis tesoros más preciados. Algo que me acompañó gran parte de mi vida y que guardo con mucho aprecio.

You could say I'm a bit of a fan of the Pokémon franchise. I watched the anime as a kid, played many of their console titles and collect many of their cards.

Se podría decir que soy algo fanático de la franquicia de Pokémon. Veía el animé cuando era niño, jugué muchos de sus títulos en consola y colecciono muchas de sus cartas.

The truth is, I never knew how to play with these cards. In particular, I just like to collect them. I find their art and illustration beautiful. In this sense, I think Pokémon surpasses Yu Gi Oh. Aesthetically, there is nothing better for me.

La verdad, nunca supe como jugar con estas cartas. En lo particular, solo me gustan coleccionarlas. Su arte y su ilustración me parecen hermosos. En este sentido, creo que Pokémon supera a Yu Gi Oh. Estéticamente, no hay nada mejor para mí.

Honestly, I don't know if these cards have any value. I guess they must have it because of their age and from what I see, old envelopes are very expensive. I'm not really interested though, because I never thought of selling them. They have great sentimental value these cards have for me.

Honestamente, no sé si estas cartas tienen algo de valor. Supongo que lo deben tener por su antigüedad y por lo que veo, los sobres antiguos son muy costosos. Aunque no me interesa mucho, porque nunca pensé en venderlas. Tienen un gran valor sentimental estas cartas para mí.

Sometimes I see card openings and I'm not going to fool you, it makes me want to buy envelopes. Unfortunately, my economic situation does not allow me to do so. And honestly, if I had that kind of money to spend, I would spend it on things I need more of.

A veces veo aperturas de cartas y no los voy a engañar, me dan ganas de comprar sobres. Lamentablemente, mi situación económica no me lo permite. Y sinceramente, si tuviera ese dinero para gastar, lo haría en cosas que necesito más.

Before writing and publishing this blog, I was doing some research about the market of these cards and I was very surprised. Literally, it is almost a million dollar business for Pokémon cards. There are some worth tens of thousands of dollars. Sadly, I don't think I have any of them haha.

Antes de escribir y publicar este blog, me estuve informando un poco sobre el mercado de estas cartas y me sorprendí demasiado. Literalmente, es casi un negocio millonario las cartas Pokémon. Hay algunas que valen decenas de miles de dólares. Lamentablemente, creo que no tengo ninguna de ellas jaja.

From what I noticed, I have several incomplete collections. And if it would already cost me to buy new cards, imagine the old cards 🤣. But if I could complete only one collection, it would be the "Team rocket" one. I love this version of dark and evil pokemons. Besides, I have a lot of first edition cards from this collection. It would be great to be able to complete it someday.

Por lo que noté, tengo varias colecciones incompletas. Y si ya me costaría comprar cartas nuevas, imagínense las cartas antiguas 🤣. Pero si pudiera completar una sola colección, sería la de “Team rocket”. Me encanta esta versión de pokemones oscuros y malvados. Aparte, tengo muchas cartas de primera edición de esta colección. Sería genial poder completarla algún día.

Something I am going to do if I manage to improve my economy, is to upload card opening videos. Although this community is not giant, I noticed that there are several fans of card collecting. I would like to upload this kind of content to 3Speak.

Algo que voy a hacer si logro mejorar mi economía, es subir videos de apertura de cartas. Aunque esta comunidad no es gigante, noté que hay varios aficionados al coleccionismo de cartas. Me gustaría subir este tipo de contenido a 3Speak.

Anyway, I don't have much more to say. I hope you liked seeing and reading my blog. I never posted in this community and I'm not sure how the dynamics are. Maybe another day I'll show you my Yu Gi Oh cards.
