The shape is like a rhino. It has horns. I found the insect on a tree yesterday. I did not know the name of this animal, but I took some photos of it. Then I browsed the information about the insect on the internet.

The Rhinoceros Beetle Or Xylotrupes gideon.

The Latin name is Xylotrupes gideon. One of the species in the family of Scarabaeidae. There are around 30,000 species in this family. The rhino beetle is in the subfamily of Dynastinae.

A rhino beetle is herbivore. It is a rodent. It eats skin of branches or twigs. Farmers treat it as pest.

This insect is not dangerous to humans when it stings or bites. However, when you try to get it, it will make some movements, as if attacking with its horn. I think the horn is sharp.

Maybe I'm wrong, male rhinoceros beetles have longer horns than females. It looks like the mating process takes a long time.

Some people take care of this insect as a pet. A rhino bettle can live up to two years.
I found the insects perched on a thorny bush. Many of them were mating, ...I guess. 😍😍 because most of them were coupled.
