What Do You Think Of Blurt?
If you created your account before the hardfork, you might have an account in blurt. Blurt is the Steem hardfork. The platform is similar to Hive and Steem, but the downvoting system is omitted.
To prevent plagiarism and abuse of the accounts, Blurt developers will deactivate upvotes for every post. It is a kind of blacklisting.
Blurt Project And Development
The Hive-Engine team is working on adding the official SWAP.BLURT token, which was reserved but never activated. This will add standard and convenient withdrawal options to the Hive-Engine interface via officially supported gateways. The Blurt Foundation will provide the SWAP.BLURT liquidity required for the SWAP.STATE-SWAP.BLURT Diesel pool pair.

I underestimated the blurt project at the early stage. However, I think , I have to reconsider my opinion about Blurt.
The Blurt token is listed on some exchanges. One of the highest trading volumes is in ionomy.
The blurt token is worth 0.00000051 BTC or $0.029 . The trading volume is 0.01 BTC or $570.
How about the staking reward?
Blurt charges for every activity on the platform. The voting reward is this.
From the value of the vote. Here is my calculation of the staking reward in Blurt wallet.
0.014 / 150 = 0.000093 or 0.0093%.
To get 1 blurt vote value, you should have around 11,000 BP (Blurt Power). 11,000 x 0.0093% = 1.023 .
25 % Liquid reward goes to your wallet
75 % Blurt goes to blurt power.
50 % vote reward goes to the curators.
50 % vote reward goes to authors
If your vote value is 1 blurt, you will earn reward as the curator 0.5 blurt. 0.125 blurt goes to your wallet and 0.375 blurt goes to Blurt Power.
Is Blurt worth investing?
Investment : 11,000 Blurt Power : 11,000 x $0.029 = $319
10 upvotes daily : 0.125 x 10 = 1.25 x $0.029 = $0.03625
Your daily staking reward in Blurt liquid will be 0.011%.

Blurt has no downvoting system.

In my opinion blacklisting is a worse system than downvoting. Blacklisting depends on one person maybe two or some people. Thus, it's centralized.
Beside that aspect it's a good alternative with future.

I think blurt is not 100 decentralized that is why the developers have full control of the development.
I did a little posting there after the fork but didn't like the vibe on it. I know that they might collaborate back into the system at some stage but it doesn't seem to be much more than a community like palnet or sportstalk.
There are some autoupvote from steem default are still active, the posts look like the second posts of steem and hive.
I think it's going nowhere but the tokens I've got aren't worth selling at their current price so I'll hold onto them, you never know, some people might have a punt.

Blurt is shit.
Even worse than that.
Shilling blurt here does not deserve even 0.001 of Leo token.
Please do not mislead honest people in LEO space

Cool. We need to inquire and keep asking the questions. If we can remain open we might be able to innovate with what we learn… or determine if Hive is actually as flexible and progressive as some think it to be. Either way I think competition will be good for both blockchains.
I have had some curiosity in learning more about Blurt (although I don’t at this time own any or have an active account over there) and so I have been asking one of the founders (MegaDrive) and the Blurt community questions over on Twitter.

Thanks for stopping, blurt will give another opportunity to earn crypto from blogging. Though some people say that it is centralized, earning from blurt will give alt assets .
Do you think you could tell me how to calculate my Hive or Hive Engine token vote from the Hive or Hive Engine parameters? I'd like to determine what reward a post would have had given there were never any down votes.
If I am not mistaken, my formula is the vote value/ power, there will the percentage of the value of voting power. POB in my calculation has around 0.07%. If we have around 81,000 power , the vote value is around 57.4. The total curation reward is vote value/2 = 28.
This is of course multiplied by voting manna proportion. My manna reads 31% right now the POB vote reported by the proofofbrain.io front end reports that the vote value would be 14 POB at 100%, and that does agree with error for values of one significant digit (like 7%).
It turns out the Hive Engine RPC nodes gives you the answer and this is what my front end uses to report the rewards. So, there is a formula in the Hive Engine servers somewhere. We just need to copy paste it out of there.
