I am FIVE years on Hive Blockchain today and I will advise you to quit blogging on it

Yes, you read the title right. Quit Hive if you are a lazy writer who uses AI to create content, and the reason is simple, Hive is a blogging platform that rewards the proof of brain, which is writing original content. AI content is generic and also defeats the purpose of the Hive blogging platform. I have been here on Hive for five years, and I have learnt a lot along the way as I have improved my writing; I have also been able to make friends, make some enemies on the way and also try to gain the trust of some people such as @neoxian / @neoxiancity . Above all, I have improved, and I can confess that I have grown as a person, writer and in my professional life.

Looking back at how I started blogging on Hive and why I started, I have nothing to say but thank you. I joined the Hive platform at my lowest as I was running my master's degree program, and I was broke. I needed some few bucks to help me survive. Then a friend introduced me to Hive, which was the then St**mit. I remember my introductory post giving me only 1 dollar as a reward. I think my next post was about finance; I did not earn much on them, and then I gave up and looked for something else to fetch me money for survival. After searching for teaching jobs while doing my master's program, I became frustrated as the jobs I was getting were not worth it, and I would likely spend all on transportation.

Then I returned to blogging on Hive again; this time, I was doing more of a challenge, and there was a marketing platform that rewards authors who write original content on other to-market platforms. I think the name was original content (I am not so sure). However, this platform exposed me more to learn about cryptocurrency as I had to write a lot about what a project is, the advantages and benefits of being in business with such a coin, and why you should select the coin. As of then, Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are not as robust as they are now, and Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook were used to promote these projects. So once we publish the post on ~~St**mit ~~Hive, we will share it on this social media platform. I also engaged in the 777 challenge, where we did press-ups and other physical activities on record and shared with Twitter and Hive to be rewarded. I think the founder of the 777 challenge.

When I joined Hive, I was just an academic research writer, but due to the numerous contest and themes given in the contest, I was exposed to many writing niches. With time, I became very good with creative writing, such as spoken words, poetry, stories, movie reviews, personal development, and content development for crypto projects. I was so good that my posts were winning content in poetry. This prompted some of my friends to contact me to help them with writeups for their partners. I won over my current girlfriend of 3years now with my original creative poetry works. I was well-grounded in finance due to my discipline in my Bsc and Masters days as my Bsc certificate reads BSc in Accounting and Finance, and I did Masters in Finance.

When covid19 came around, the leofinance platform came through for me as I lost my job while working for Opera. It was a job I loved, but the layoff was understandable. I didn't make much, but I came across an angel in @rollandthomas who supported and extended my love during this trying period. While I was ill, he helped me with drug money and always encouraged me to post on leofinance while supporting my post. He was my angel sent by God, and we lost contact, so I am using the medium to say that wherever you are, @rollandthomas, I hope you are safe and well, and I say a very big thank you for always coming through for me. I appreciate your impact on my life when I needed it the most.

I took a break from Blogging on Hive constantly to focus on my professional career and in that course, I have converted from finance into tech (GRC, more specifically). I am now a certified cybersecurity expert, cloud security manager, and Information security implementer; I am also a certified lead auditor in Service management systems and others. I am certified by Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Aws, ISC2, TUV and other top bodies I can not remember at the time of writing. Coming back fully writing, I now write more about cybersecurity and neglect my favourite niche, which uses football (due to my team Chelsea not being impressive at the moment). However, I can still be flexible when the need arises, and I am not scared to try out more communities on Hive now, so expect diversity in my post.

As I celebrate my five years on Hive, I want to thank @zoneboy for inviting me to this platform. As I look back on how the platform has made me come in contact with amazing people such as @bookoons, @ann @emekasegun @zyzymena @oredebby @dimsyto @khalis @udezee @leedsunited @flaxz @stevenwood @mosunomotunde and @tosyne2much @kenechukwu97, I want to say a big thank you to them at also. We might not be in contact as we used to, but I want to say that I am glad that I came across you guys. You all push me to be better. Most of these people no longer blog, but it is nice to have their names out there. As I find the username of others, I will update the article.

My recent passion for writing was ignited by @princessbusayo. For the recent people I have been able to connect with more, I want to say a big thank you. The thread platform by @leofinance has also made me meet some amazing people, such as @l337m45732 @bitcoinflood @friendlymoose @elmerlin @ibbtammy @taskmaster4450le.

I am looking forward to a much better thread platform and implementing some of the controls which @khaleelkazi said the leofinance dev is working to make the user experience seamless and amazing for all. Some of the points which I highlighted during the Wensoon show yesterday are listed below:

  • leoInfra allows you to sign in to leofinance with your Twitter or Google account. However, the Facebook sign-in has been discarded
  • personal blog feed for each user has been added to your profile

  • Schedule post feeds are also live

  • drafts are live also

  • settings pages are going to be robust as new updates are going to be added to the ones already there

  • 7 million calls have been made to hive nodes in the past 24 hours from Monday to Tuesday.

Congrats to me, and happy fifth birthday to me on Hive. I hope to be here for a long time if permitted.

I remember our conversation the other day about cybersecurity and ecently noticed that there already is a Cybersecurity community.

It isn't a really active one though.
I dont know if the community admin @culgin is still active. His last post was from 2020.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome, i will check out the community and maybe we could get people using the platform also

I'm following the community as well.

But if the admin isn't active on Hive the xommunity wont be managed. It might be a better idea to create a new community yourself.

I'm also into cyber security (CISM and hopefully CISSP soon), so I might make some Security blogs in the future too.

I'll keep an eye on your posts 😉

Thank you. CISSP soon. I am just three years into cybersecurity. I should be learning from you. I hope I save a lot of money in order to enroll for the CISM certification

Hopefully very soon.
My certifications are sponsored by my employer 🙂
But experience tells more than a certification.
