Christmas feels for #WednesdayWalk
When we went out to meet with friends, the storm just left our country leaving behind some rain and fog. That was the morning that we woke up to. We thought it would be soppy and cold the whole day. Even so, at least we didn't have a lot of sudden outbursts of rain.
We started going to one establishment as the first meeting place while waiting for the rest. That's what we do. Whoever is in town and ready to meet, then they will meet while waiting for the others. We would end up hopping from one place to another until everybody is complete.
I haven't been to this establishment in a long time. I think the last time I was there was with my partner but that was years before pandemic. It was still the same as I remembered. Even the way they decorated their lobby for Christmas looks the same.
What changed though is the venue of their buffet. It's now at the rooftop. I haven't been there and it was my first time to go. We took the stairs going up. The stair were carpeted but it badly needs replacement for it was frayed. I like the view from the windows where you can see the houses and the streets below. It was foggy that time though.
Once we were done there, we then walked up to a cafe beside the cathedral. By this time, the sun started to peek pushing the clouds away. Because it seems it is going to hold for longer, we then decided to try the newest place in town. That' where I took the rest of the photo.
Although there are Christmas decors everywhere already, I still don't feel the spirit just yet. Maybe because I was looking forward to All Saints' Day/All Souls' Day where in tradition families gather together to remember their dearly departed.
I do like seeing these Christmas trees and decors though for it is an opportunity to take photos.
Calling it a day, we then waited outside the establishment for a taxi to take us to town but we didn't have luck. After a few minutes, we then walked to the nearest area where there are more available taxis.
Whether it is raining or not, whatever the weather maybe, it is the company that makes moments worth it. It was a well spent time together with friends, catching up, letting off steam about stresses in life, but overall, it was all fun and laughter - almost a relief that we can confide to each other, unload and share with each other. We found the strength and comfort together.
