Pride cometh before a fall or so they say and after a great run of competition results in my favour recently, tonight I got my pride drenched just desserts when Arsenal got taken down by Liverpool, with the very popular Jota scoring the first goal.

Don't get too excited guys as you're all going to only end up with about 174 tokens each but full details at the end!

It's 17th v 18th in this bottom of the table clash but for Norwich, still in the relegation zone and a point, but two more games played than Watford, this could easily turn into a season defining evening.

Norwich will be coming into this with a little confidence having beaten the hapless Newcastle last time out to end a long run of successive losses and its an ideal opportunity for Dean Smith to, get this, be the first manager to steer Norwich to back to back Premier League victories since 2016!

Norwich have a number of injury problems not least of which is the loss of goalie, Tim Krul, with a shoulder injury and its expected that Angus Gunn will be in the nets this evening, the same Angus Gunn who was in goal for the crunching losses to Arsenal and Palace over Christmas!

Watford on the other hand are reporting no major injury concerns although Imran Louza, Adam Masina and William Troost-Ekong are still taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Watford are hoping to improve on the draw they took from the Newcastle game which followed a run of four straight defeats and also losing their last 4 league home games so there is going to be a lot of pressure on the two managers who are both staring down the barrel of a gun.

It's worth noting that Norwich have only scored 10 goals all season whilst shipping 45 whilst Watford have had no problems with finding the back of the net.

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 50 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post-pay-out. Other bonuses are paid out at my discretion.
