Forest healer | Holozing Fanart

Hello everyone, happy weekend!! I can't believe its Saturday already, how time flies. I did another forest healer fanart for the holozing game.

When painting a female forest healer, I try to depict her in her natural element, surrounded by lush greenery, maybe with flowers woven into her hair or clothing to symbolize her connection to nature. Her attire could be earthy and organic, reflecting her role as a healer and caretaker of the forest. I also want to show her with gentle, compassionate eyes and a peaceful expression, radiating a sense of wisdom and empathy. Adding elements like trees or animals further emphasize her healing abilities and beautiful relationship with the natural world.

These are the original characters which look amazing by the way, my favourite thing have to be her headpiece, like a long tiny tree branch woven around her hair. Mui Mui has this dangerous look in his eyes which I love but he looks much calmer in my drawing, you can't be in the presence of the forest healer and have that look, right?😁

PROCESS

I did the sketch which was quite fast and not very difficult, I had a few ideas which included her clothing, the mushroom as a headgear and the gloves. I painted all the flat colours, facial features and used the gradient tool to add colour to the mushroom...

At this point I knew the colour choice for the mushroom looked quite off so I changed it and rendered the rest of the painting. I added more details and strands ro her hair, painted mui mui quietly lying there looking unbothered, which I could swap places with him😔

I spent a bit of time on the background because I didn't know what to do, I admit I suck at painting backgrounds but I eventually came up something. I added more lighting and glow where necessary and made are the adjustments needed....
