In the silence of my mind 🧘♂️
In the silence of my mind is where I connect with my innerself, where all the noise fades away. It's an ideal place to explore a lot of things, yesterday I thought a lot about gratitude and thankfulness....
I think about a lot of things whenever I'm having a quiet moments, weird, cool, funny, all kinds of things. I reflected on everything I'm grateful for, it shifted my focus from what I lack to what I currently have, as a very negative person, doing this often helps me concentrate on the positives and lift my mood.
These past months I've had lots of experiences that shaped me, I've learned a lot from them and ofcourse, didn't forget those who have been supportive. I still think about what lies ahead from time to time, I still do the things that excites me while working towards my realistic goals.
Asides art, yoga excites me. I love stretching and pushing my body to be more flexible, I got a yoga mat some days back and I can't wait to practice more. My goal is actually to be better at everything I do as the time goes by, progress over perfection is my mantra.
I use to stress a lot but not anymore and I'm grateful for that, there are still times when I feel thankful then the "buts" flood my mind like this funny quote;
“I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.” Woody Allen
This is quite funny, have you ever experienced this? I remember one time I laughed so hard while eating and a grain of rice came out of my nose, it was a terrible experience because the food was spicy 😭
I'm still grateful for having rice though 😁
I wasn't really in the mood to draw so I decided to do something that excites me which is playing around with colours and I created this. The girl standing there wasn't in the initial plan but i thought it would look nice so I painted her. All I want right now is to trade places with her, imagine having a quiet time there...
I hope your new week is as bright and colorful as this✨️.....
