Splinterlands Art Contest 214 - Lunakari Mistress

Hello hive friends, how's the new week going? Mine started quite well and I'm back to creating new stuff. I started two new works and I was able to finish one of them and I'm sharing it as my submission to the splinterlands art contest.

For this week, I chose a card in the life unit, the Lunakari mistress. First, I really love her cute but simple outfit, I also love the red glow around her eyes...

LORE
They are a small group of women who stride around like they own the place, they speak an ethereal dialect and have very powerful magical powers. When it's time for battle, their eyes glow red as they chant strange spells. Sounds really scary...

PROCESS
I didn't really bother searching for a reference for this, I took a picture of myself in this pose. Once the sketch was done, I started painting. I wasn't really sure about how I wanted the background to look like at first but I figured it out eventually. I really enjoyed painting her hair and the green magic smoke. I also love her eyes, I figured that the absence of eyeballs would make her look more ethereal so I just painted little dark red colour inside.
