Splinterlands Art Contest | Earth Elemental

There are days when I just feel like doing something quite creative. I honestly had another human card in mind but when I saw the earth elemental, I was like "hmmmmmm, what would it look like if humanised it?" So I came up with mine. This is for the splinterlands art contest which I've missed for two weeks now😔 well I'm back again and i hope you weekend is going reall well.😁

The Earth Elemental takes different forms which largely depends on where it is summoned. It can be a tree, a hmountaim, a sandstorm, a pile of living mud, it has endless possibilities. One cool thing about it is that it no matter the form it takes, it has mystical healing powers that's it draws from the planet.

PROCESS

Since this character takes different forms, I decided to make mine a woman, maybe it was summoned by a woman🤷. I chose a really good pose and did a sketch I could work with. I added the flat colours and used a much darker skin tone, I painted her hair, wood-like accessories and facial features. I also added tree horn attached to her forehead.

I was really confused when it came to her clothes, didn't know what do so I just left that part and went ahead to render her skin, I added shadows and highlights where necessary and was really satisfied with the outcome. I then added more details to her huge afro hair hair before returning to the clothes, and I'm glad my idea worked out.

I then begin to paint details to her horn, neck and hand piece, I thought it would be a good idea to add little leaves around them and I love it. I worked more on her eyes and added some marks on her face then painted earrings.

I then added little lighting to her skin and hair and fixed some little mistakes my eyes caught. I did a simple background as aways and this is the final work.
