The dark muse

Hello hive community, welcome to my blog again. I've been drawn to red colour lately, I love how it looks when applied to certain parts of the work. I stared with a very messy sketch and made sure I placed all the elements where I wanted them. I went ahead to to paint have colours for her skin, clothes and hair. I didn't stress much with picking colours because I knew I was going for mainly darker colours. I also painted her neck piece and facial features.

For the rendering, I started with her skin and added shadows and highlights to different areas. I then added more volume and details to her hair before moving on to her cloth, neck piece and horn. I added some little red marks to the horn and a small section of her cloth.

I added a new layer and set the blend mode to colour dodge, I then painted some red shine to her eyes, horn and hair before finally painting a simple background with a cloud brush. I hope you like it...
