Les cuento que esta es mi segunda publicación en la colmena y para mí es muy grato que estén acá🤗🎨.
Cómo les había comentado anteriormente en mi presentación en hive ,una de las cosas que más me gusta de pintar es realizar retratos de mascotas 🐶🐱; por esta razón, Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes parte del proceso de pintar el retrato de una linda perrita llamada Lucy 🐶🎨

I tell you that this is my second publication in the hive and for me it is very pleasing that you are here🤗🎨.
As I had told you previously in my presentation in hive ,one of the things I like most about painting is to make portraits of pets 🐶🐱; for this reason, Today I want to share with you part of the process of painting the portrait of a cute little dog named Lucy 🐶🎨

Uno de los detalles que más me encantó de pintar a Lucy🐶 fue el motivo por el cual me encargaron su retrato; y es que sería un regalo de cumpleaños para su mamá adoptiva💖 lo que me llenó aún mas de emoción al saber qué habían pensado en mí para retratarla.

One of the details that I loved the most about painting Lucy🐶 was the reason why I was commissioned to paint her portrait; it would be a birthday present for her adoptive mother💖 which made me even more excited to know that they had thought of me to paint her.

Realicé el retrato en un formato de 80x100cm🖌️
y el material de soporte fue madera MDF, previamente sellada y lijada. Luego la pieza fue fondeada con una mezcla de cola blanca para carpintería y pintura al frío o guache blanco🎨
Al secar muy bien ya estuvo lista la pieza para empezar a realizar la cuadrícula para el boceto inicial del retrato🖌️

I made the portrait in a format of 80x100cm🖌️
and the support material was MDF wood, previously sealed and sanded. Then, the piece was anchored with a mixture of white glue for carpentry and cold paint or white gouache.
When it dried very well, the piece was ready to start making the grid for the initial sketch of the portrait.🖌️

Listo el boceto, preparé los colores necesarios para empezar a pintar 🖌️
Para ello utilicé pintura acrílica capelli, la cual me gusta mucho porque es de buena calidad y aporta mejor acabado a los trabajos de pintura🎨. Cabe destacar que para el fondo del retrato, el cliente me pidió que usara los colores azul,rosa y verde manzana ya que a la cumpleañera le encantan estos tonos.
sin embargo, para pintar el fondo al principio no tenía una idea muy clara para aplicar esta combinación. Por lo que decidí en primer lugar utilizar una mezcla de un poco de azul cobalto y blanco para obtener un azul claro e irle agregando sutilmente pinceladas de verde manzana y rosa, esté último tono terminó uniéndose un poco con el azul de fondo y género un contraste que lo convirtió en violeta. Sin embargo no me convenció mucho el resultado, por lo que decidí cambiar el fondo aplicando los tonos por separado y de forma creativa jugar con la dinámica del fondo con algunos detalles que agregué al final.🎨

Ready the sketch, I prepared the necessary colors to start painting 🖌️
For this I used capelli acrylic paint, which I like very much because it is of good quality and gives a better finish to the painting🎨. It should be noted that for the background of the portrait, the client asked me to use the colors blue,pink and apple green since the birthday girl loves these tones.
However, to paint the background at first I did not have a very clear idea to apply this combination. So I decided first to use a mixture of a little cobalt blue and white to get a light blue and subtly adding apple green and pink brushstrokes, the latter tone ended up joining a little with the blue background and gender a contrast that turned it into violet. However I was not convinced, so I decided to change the background applying the tones separately and creatively play with the dynamics of the background with some details that I added at the end.

Al dar las primeras pinceladas al retrato, decidí Empezar a pintar la lengua, para ello tomé un poco de rojo bermellón, blanco, amarillo y violeta, y combinando entre sí estos tonos fui descubriendo los más apropiados entre capas para lograr los detalles que dan realismo a la composición del retrato. Les cuento que en esta parte me tardé un poco más de lo que imaginé, sin embargo lo logré.🖌️ Además, estos mismos tonos los usé para pintar las orejas de Lucy🐶 que verán al detalle en las próximas fotos.

When giving the first brushstrokes to the portrait, I decided to start painting the tongue, for this I took some vermilion red, white, yellow and violet, and combining these tones I discovered the most appropriate ones between layers to achieve the details that give realism to the composition of the portrait. I tell you that this part took me a little longer than I imagined, but I did it.🖌️ Also, I used these same tones to paint Lucy🐶's ears, which you will see in detail in the next photos.

Luego, empecé a detallar el hocico y la nariz de Lucy🐶 utilizando una combinación de tonos entre negro, grises y algo de azul; los cuales, también serían usados para pintar sus tiernos ojitos y el pelaje, donde procuré en lo posible poder lograr esa textura suave y brillante que le caracteriza. Les comento que me encantó irle agregando al detalle toquecitos de azul a la mezcla ya que le brindó ese efecto de más luminosidad y realismo al pelaje, a diferencia de solo aplicar negro y tonos grises.

Then, I started to detail Lucy🐶's nose and muzzle using a combination of black, gray and some blue tones; which would also be used to paint her tender eyes and fur, where I tried as much as possible to achieve that soft and shiny texture that characterizes her. I would like to tell you that I loved adding little touches of blue to the mix because it gave that effect of more luminosity and realism to the fur, as opposed to only applying black and gray tones.

Al terminar de pintar la carita de Lucy🐶 me fui a dar detalles finales al fondo, en este caso con el nombre de Lucy muy notable en el cuadro, ya que así fue encargado para la cumpleañera 🤗🖌️ y a sus laterales para equilibrar la composición decidí agregar detallitos con pintura negra, entre líneas , huellas 🐾, y corazones💕 ya que Lucy es una perrita muy consentida🐶🎨 y acá el resultado final.

When I finished painting Lucy's face🐶 I went to give final details to the background, in this case with Lucy's name very noticeable in the painting, as it was commissioned for the birthday girl 🤗🖌️ and to her sides to balance the composition I decided to add details with black paint, between lines, footprints 🐾, and hearts💕 as Lucy is a very spoiled dog🐶🎨 and here is the final result.
