~ The doctor-patient relationship is a two-way thing ~

Greetings pupil.

Fellow comrades, go visit the doctor before it becomes too late for any kind of fruitful diagnosis. Our body is our only treasure. Lately such thoughts occupy my mind more and more. There is no particular reason but did you realize how easily we handle our diet and body unhealthily. Least do we realize what we turn our life into and we ask carelessly, "what is happening to my body?". Instead of asking it to a doctor, we ask it to any person but a doctor. Now, I extend my call to all the female comrades, go visit the gynecologist if your period is causing you anything more than mild to moderate discomfort constantly. Do not hesitate and sit behind, your body is your treasure not mine.

Menstrual cycle is one of the very important cycle that a female body goes through.
Periods do NOT need to be painful, no one should have to live through treatable chronic pain. Dealing with the pain does not make you any stronger, or anyone better. Don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise. Many people will shove off their opinions on your face, try to know which ones to stay away from and which ones to hold onto.

Pay no heed to any comments about pain tolerance. Mild to moderate discomfort only, no discomfort during menses is ideal. There is absolutely no need to be brave through the pain because someone somewhere told you without any context that it is "normal". It is "not normal" and it only tires your body, which your body doesn't need to go through. Prioritize your health above all. Menstrual cycle can cause mild discomfort, it is natural but anything beyond mild should not be tolerated by any cause.

Tolerating severe pain might cause permanent damage to your body and that is not what you would want your body to tolerate too. Consulting a doctor for regular check up is something which is considered too luxurious but I would not totally agree with you. However, I would suggest to at least visit the doctor whenever your body is suffering. It is not to be taken easily.

Additionally, advocate for yourself inside a doctor's chamber. Communicate with the doctor about what you think, what they think, about the diagnosis and the medications. Do not leave until you fully understand what is or isn't going on. This applies to all kinds of doctor visits. The doctor-patient relationship is a two-way thing. Keep it that way and your health will not betray you.

About taking medicines on your own, avoid taking medicines on your own, and try to take advises from doctors or pharmacists. In Bangladesh pharmacists have been reliable the many times I made a visit to them. Try and explain your condition and it is not absolute that every other person will be able to help you out with your problems but what can happen is that, the doctors or pharmacists will be able to assist you wisely with your problem.

Be it chronic or be it simple, living with any kind of pain should never be ones choice. Life is too short, to be suffering for the longest time and living the shortest.

~The End~

This is my twelfth post in HIVE. I hope to connect well with everyone. This is me here, Lemonade1, I am a bookworm, meaning I love reading books more than anything. It is my first priority and also my last. Besides everything else, I love traveling and I aim to create my travel diary here.

~~ Life is too short, so I like when we argue less and converse more. Be productive than being futile. Spread our wings and fly freely. I hope you are with me. ~~
