The inheritance | La herencia. [Eng/esp]

Warm greetings to this great family of writers and literature lovers. I continue with my series of short stories, hoping they will please all the demanding and avid readers of the community.

One of my particularly troublesome clients was Mr. Contreras. He had made me change his will several times over the years, and this time in anticipation of his death, he told me that this might be the last time. I drafted the document to his specifications, where he stated that he was donating his entire fortune to a foundation, leaving his three legitimate children without inheritance.

When I arrived at his residence and arranged everything, the old man sat down in front of the document, but before he signed, I had the audacity to ask the reason for this last change to which he replied: - My children have more money than me, besides the three of them are confessed criminals. pay attention to me and I will explain.

Then with authority he told me: he had a son who was a thief, another one was a homosexual who lived off the backs of poor people and the most spoiled one had turned out to be a murderer. So the best thing I could do was to donate everything to a foundation and not leave it to those degenerates. Without giving more details, I would like to clarify that I knew his sons well: the oldest was a lawyer, the other was a priest and the youngest was a surgeon. Draw your own conclusions.

Uno de mis clientes particularmente más problemático era el señor Contreras. Así que lo mejor que podía hacer, era donar todo a una fundación y no dejarlo a esos degenerados. Sin dar más detalles, les aclaro que conocía bien a sus hijos: el mayor era abogado, el otro era cura y el menor era médico cirujano. Saquen ustedes sus propias conclusiones.
