Why is it convenient for us to do medium-term HODL in Hive?

There is nothing in the world more powerful than an idea whose time has come.

-Victor Hugo-

Warm greetings to the entire community of hivers that make life in this great tribe. Today's post aims to get to the point, making a proposal to all those small users growing within the hive. The above, without forgetting that the same is done at a time where as many experts say, the fiduciary system has already lost all tolerance against web 3.0 and is lashing out fiercely against the entire crypto ecosystem and any development that has to do with the Defi.

The first thing to clarify for those readers who have not heard the term is to define: What is HODL? It is a term widely used among cryptocurrency investors that refers to those who refuse to sell their crypto assets regardless of the fluctuations in the price they have.

The word is a sort of neologism to refer to long-term investments, in this case, in its most radical version it would involve keeping our cryptocurrency the Hive for a few years, without making any transactions with it. This perhaps at first, sounds very far-fetched or inoperative so we will come back to this reasoning later.

According to experts, the term Hodl is a term that was generated as a result of a transcription error, since it comes from another word that is spelled hold. According to records, the first time it was used was by a trader named GameKyuubi in a platform called Bitcoin Talk where he narrated his terrible trading experience and that is why he preferred to keep his Bitcoin, even if the market was down. From there it was adopted by other users and spread throughout the crypto world.

The term is an acronym for the right word. And it means not to get carried away by volatility or sudden market drops. In the case of Bitcoin because of its high value it is justified to hold it in unstable conditions but: what about in this case with the Hive? Is it worth being so radical or could we adapt to our reality?

WOULD WE BE WILLING TO DO SOME KIND OF HODL WITH HIVE?

My proposal is not to make the HODL in the long term, but in the medium term, adding to this investments of each user adjusted to their capacity according to their available capital over a period of one and a half, two years and up to three years. This will be agreed upon by the community since, in my opinion, it should be a consensual plan and not done on a whim.

If several of us users who do not have a large capital invested simultaneously at different times of the year, perhaps this could generate a more accentuated growth than is currently reflected and the hive could consolidate even more and above all be revalued.

There are many variables to analyze and take into consideration, especially given the volatility of the market and the attacks that are being orchestrated from various fronts. I would like an analysis from Leofinance's many specialists to put the issue in context and see the pros and cons of these scenarios.

What I do warn in relation to the above, and on which I have already written an article, is that a divided kingdom will never prevail. It is time we stop seeing the platform as a petty cash box to draw from and see it as a company to invest in.

See you soon.
