I have seen in many of the groups where I participate and where I am a member that new users who join the game or are about to join ask the following questions: How much is the minimum investment and how long will it take to recover it? This is something that I observe very often and whenever I can I give some tips or explain everything that involves investing in "Splinterlands" in addition to the many ways to earn and where to get a return on the game, in addition to playing as such.

It is for this reason that I have been encouraged to make this publication, explaining the most important details that lead to a correct investment in "Splinterlands", mentioning very basic aspects about the return on investment and what can be expected from it in the short, medium and long term, of course, this is my point of view and I just want to expose the way it has worked for me so far to invest in the game and where besides growing in it, I have also obtained significant gains and extremely good and stable returns.

image.png

How much is the minimum investment in "Splinterlands"?

line2.png

The minimum investment in the game is 10$, which can be paid in different ways, recommending of course, the payment by "Cryptocurrencies" which is much simpler and faster, this will allow you to acquire the "Summoner's Spell Book", updating your account to earn real rewards and also to perform the missions and compete for the position of the best in the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Champion leagues.

image.png

Image taken from Splinterlands

Now, just buying the spell book is not enough to earn rewards, this game is "Play To Earn", however, it is not a free game nor is it designed so that the returns of the investment made are obtained in the shortest term, there are many games with this model of play to earn, where just in a few days you get what you invest and much more, this sounds good but it is not sustainable in time, such games have a very unstable economy and can collapse at any time, This sounds good, but it is not at all sustainable in time, this type of games have a very unstable economy and at any moment they can collapse, in fact there are many that have already collapsed and died.

What I mean is that, do not expect a quick return on investment, the idea is that the game continues to grow in popularity and that many more investors come so that the total market capitalization of the game, together with the SPS governance token and the DEC are revalued with the growing wave of users, this will allow our cards are revalued and of course, the tokens mentioned above.

Because the Spellbook is not enough?

There is something called "Collection Power" in the game, which is expressed with a number, this number is simply the sum of the burning value in DECS of all the cards in your deck, which means that the more cards you own or the more rented cards you have, the higher your "Collection Power or CP", which means that you can be promoted to one league or another depending on it. The more collection power you have, the more possibilities you will have to obtain good rewards, as I already mentioned, you can have your own or rented cards, however, my recommendation is to have your own cards.

image.png

Image taken from Splinterlands

If our CP grows over time and we move up the league, we can get more DEC per battle, it is obvious that if we are battling in the "Silver" league, we will get more DEC compared to if we were in "Bronze" and so on if we move up the league. I already mentioned that my recommendation is to have your own cards, but, I imagine you are wondering the following:

What should I buy?
What would be the best and cheapest option to increase CP and move up the league?

These are very clear questions and in the next section I will answer them....

image.png

The best way to increase our CP and get more rewards for playing

line2.png

There are many ways to earn and get rewards, however, in this post I will focus on commenting how we can earn by playing with the cards we can buy, in another post, I will talk about the other ways to acquire rewards in the game, which have nothing to do with playing the game itself, this will be the first part of a series of posts, where I will talk about how to invest correctly when starting in "Splinterlands".

With this in mind, the ideal is to follow the following recommendations:

Buy cards of the "Chaos Legion" edition

There are many editions in the game with extremely incredible and powerful cards that also give a higher Collection Power (CP) than the present edition of "Chaos Legion", so, the older the edition is and the more expensive its cards will be, this is because, as it is an extinct edition with no official packs to buy, this creates a finite and limited asset, as it is already an extinct edition without any official Pack to buy, this creates a finite and limited asset, which brings as a consequence that, the more time passes, this will increase its value, it is for this reason that the cards of these past editions, are much more expensive than the current "CL" ones.

Taking into consideration the above, the best investment currently with respect to the gameplay to get more "CP" and move up in the leagues to earn more DEC per battle, is to buy the cards of "Chaos Legion", with this I mean to buy them individually in the market, not to buy "Packs", since this depends a lot on luck and it is better to go for specific cards that are useful in the battlefield, than waiting for the card you want in the packs and level it up. For this reason, as the "Chaos Legion" edition still has official "Packs" to buy in the game store, its cards are the cheapest right now, so, without hesitation it is best to buy cards from this particular edition if you are just starting in the game.

Now, so that you have an estimate of how much you could spend to get a "Complete Deck" of cards of the "Chaos Legion" edition with all its "Splinters", depending on the league you have as a goal, I will share some images where you can see the estimated cost of each type of card and the BCX needed to have them at the required level with respect to the league, of course, you must be clear that not all cards of the "CL" edition are useful, so, taking this into account, the costs you will see in the images would decrease significantly.

In other publications, I will detail the most useful cards needed by "Splinter" of the "Chaos Legion" edition, as well as their costs, in the meantime, I will share the information mentioned:

Bronze League

Silver League

Gold League

Diamond League

image.png

Image taken from Splintercards

I am not taking into account the golden cards, only regular cards, and as I said, these tables include all the cards of the "Chaos Legion" edition, but, we do not necessarily have to have all the cards to be able to obtain good rewards and move up in the league.

image.png

Final considerations

line2.png

To summarize a little of what I have said in this post, I will describe in bullet points each of the recommendations for new players on how to start investing and increase their "Collection Power":

  • The minimum investment is 10$, but if we want to earn important rewards for playing, we must invest in cards and set as a goal a specific league, taking into account that the higher the league, the more DEC per battle will be earned.

  • In my opinion it is best to set as a goal the "Silver" league, it is the best to start and the DECs we earn per battle are very good, we just need perseverance so that at the end of the season or month, we can see a good change in the rewards.

  • The rewards and the return on investment will not be immediate, everything will depend on the objectives that you set and how you invest your money in the game, with this I mean that playing and earning DEC per battle is not the only way to get rewards, but it is a good start, start by raising our "CP".

  • Buying cards from the "Chaos Legion" edition is the cheapest thing currently in the game, as they are the cards that are currently in a public sale by "Packs" in the in-game store. Remember, we should not go for Packs, but for the cards needed to build teams and competitive combos to win battles and move up the league or climb in Ranking points, to compete for the top places in the league we want.

Again this is a first part of a series of posts that I intend to make so that new players have a guide on how to invest correctly in the game without wasting a single penny, I will also detail what are the best cards that in my opinion are the best to buy and the most useful in battle, this will be done by "Splinter" and of course the edition of "Chaos Legion".

Without further ado, see you next time warriors.
