Rewards from Bounties

Users who delegate their HP to the @leo.voter receive daily payouts in the form of LEO tokens at a rate of ~16% APR. Also, at time some other bounties are in place.

image007.png

@onealfa is on the top here, followed closely by @fedesox.

Staking LEO

Below is a chart that represents the monthly flow of staked and unstaked LEO tokens. A positive bar going up shows a day where more LEO was staked than unstaked.

image009.png

After the unstacking in March due to the launch of Polycub, we can see that April has more staking again.

Below is the chart of the top 10 users that staked LEO last week:

image011.png

@pouchon is on the top here.

The Overall Flow of the LEO Token Supply:

image015.png

Note on the yellow, liquid category above. It includes the LEO in the liquidity pools on ETH and BSC as well. If we remove that, the liquidity will be much lower.

Below is a chart of the LEO tokens allocation.

image013.png

A 51% share staked.

LeoFinance Users

Below is a chart with the number of unique users that posted from the LeoFinance frontend.

image017.png

Monthly Active Users Posting and Commenting from LeoFInance [MAU]

Here is the chart for the monthly active users that posted from the leofinance.io interface.

April seems to end with a small increase in the number of accounts that posted from leofinance.io. More then 600 accounts.

Users That Commented Only

Here is the chart for users that commented from leofinance.io, but didn’t make a post in the month.

image021.png

On the comment side it seems that the month will be similar as March. Almost 300 users have commented only from leofinance in April 2022, without making a post.

Activities on LeoFInance

Below is a chart of the LeoFinance activities with the numbers of posts from the LeoFinance interface and posts with the #leofinance tag.

image023.png

The yellow are posts from the leofinance interface and the orange posts from other hive frontends with the leofinance tag.
The number of daily posts has been around 150 in the last period.
LeoFinance has a 20% incentive for posting trough the native frontend. When users post from other frontends and just with the leofinance tag they have 20% less rewards.

Number of comments from LeoFinance.io

Here is the chart for the numbers of comments starting from April 2020.

image025.png

A total of **7k ** comments in the previous week!

Authors that commented the most

There is an initiative in the last period for engagement on the platform and some of the large stakeholders have been voting comments a lot.
Here are the top authors that commented the most.

image027.png

@taskmaster4450le is an absolute champion for the week with a massive 1400 comments.

Price

All time LEO price

It is interesting to look at the LEO token price, keeping in mind the crazy ride that HIVE had in the previous month.

Here is the price chart in dollar value with average price for better visibility.

image029.png

Have in mind the above is an average daily price.

LEO price in the Last 30 days

Here is the price of LEO in the last 30 days also in dollar value:

image031.png

This is data from hive engine.

We can see the sharp drop and recovery. There was big sale of on Hive engine, that usually should be done on liquidity pools, because the order book on hive engine is small and it caused a big drop.

Activity is crazy on Leo Finance and makes it the most buzzing community on Hive blockchain. The user base is growing at a fast pace and the engagement is showing up. Great times of booming!

There must be a team behind TM4450.. How in the world do you make 1400 comments and create posts on top of that??

There must be a team. At least a few people behind those usernames. I bet that if you actually tracked the time of publication on his posts and comments, you I am sure you would see stuff being posted at the same time. lol

The best part is, that the more engagement we have, the more people will join due to the activity. The more users we have, the more traffic we will get due to content being shared and the more traffic we get, the more Ad Revenue we will see.. It's literally the circle of life on LeoFinance.

I agree it all feeds into itself. Also the more comments that are made, the more there is to respond to...which can generate more comments.

That's how things are supposed to be. We welcome and include people to our conversations, yet there are so many that decides to sit on the sidelines.

If we had 5 or 6 people in a "conversation" it would amount to 50 or 60 comments in no time. Easy to do.

Yeah, it's cool how things so easily could increase tenfold by just adding a comment here and there.

We never know when something will be kicked off. It simply how it goes. Just like anything viral, things can just click with certain people.

So the numbers game we keep talking about comes up again.

We had about 300 users who never made a post but just comments. That's just the best way to start engaging the Leofinance community especially when the user is scared of creating an acceptable content.

I think it's the absolute best way of dipping your toes and putting your name out there. Once you've done that for a while, you would have higher chances to get upvotes on your content when you publish your first article.

Wait until we get the numbers up.

How will Leofinance be buzzing if we have 15K comments per week? Or 20K?

We'll get there eventually, and even though I would've wanted to say something like "just sit back and relax", I need to say the opposite. Continue to work hard and put in the extreme amount of time you do. We need you.

Wont get there by relaxing, that is for sure. Have to keep pushing and motivating others to do the same.

Although the most we post, the easier it is for others to post back.

I can say it's way more easier to make posts than making comments. It's a lotta work.

20k comments would just be beautiful. That can happen within the year, that's if LEO has a little price push. Bullish price has a way of encouraging engagement.

Bullish price has a way of encouraging engagement.

Yet, there is lack of engagement when engagement is one of the most important ingredients to increase the price..

The logic of the illogical.

I checked on yesterday to see that active users on Leofinance community is up to 1.6k. that's a huge number. If all of that makes 2 comments a day, then 20k weekly comments milestone gets easier to reach.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

1.6 active users, 2 comments per day = 3.2K comments in a single day. 22.4K comments in a week.

Ez if people stepped up their game a notch.

The rate at which users have been posting from the Leo finance frontend has improved alot through the past month, I hope we can be able to build the community more😊.

That should be the goal for all of us. To up our own numbers by a few percent. It goes a long way and will help growth massively.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A few percent a week, consistently, will do wonders.

Unfortunately, when so low, we have to go exponential to really have an impact.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

0

It takes all of us. If everyone committed to a minimum or 10 comments per day we would see the numbers really escalate.

A minimum of ten comments per day should be an easy task for everyone but unfortunately many think about the rewards of posting than to comment on post.

To me, 10 doesnt seem like an onerous amount. But maybe my view is skewed on it.

As you do an average of 150-200 comments per day, I can totally see why you think making 10 comments would be easy as pie.

While 10 isn't many at all, people still seem to struggle to make even a handful of comments per day. Not sure how some prioritize.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Agreed. That is what it comes down to....making it a priority. If it was life or death, I bet they could do it.

If it's a life or death situation, I bet a lot will be adding 10x than they normally would.

There's a joy that comes with doing it willingly too, and we don't have to give up on showing up daily. If you post daily then add few comments daily too and balance it up

It all adds up at the end of the week

unfortunately many think about the rewards of posting than to comment on post.

This. <--

This is actually a huge problem that we've been aware of for a long period of time.

What people need to understand is that it will take them a lot more time to create fully-blown articles compared to making a few comments here and there. Also, as comments are being rewarded often, there's actually a good chance that users will be rewarded more in total by making comments compared to publishing an article.

Add in the fact that people can rather easily get recognition and build a name for themselves by making comments. People aren't thinking clearly.

This is what many newbies have to know because most of them complain about not getting upvotes but the question is do you try to make yourself known in the platform.

This is what many newbies have to know because most of them complain about not getting upvotes but the question is do you try to make yourself known in the platform.

It always comes down to what you do and why you should be rewarded. Especially for newcomers.

You can't make a post talking about why you are worth this or that. That is what beggars do, and people don't like beggars in general.

So, it comes down to providing value in some shape or form, for someone. And to put your name in front of others.

This is nothing but the truth, well I hope many can come to the realization of that.

You made a very good point with this.

Commenting is very underrated here on Hive.

I so much imagine a day people will realize how commenting will add more value to their blogging journey.

One key to building more on the long term is through interaction and building relationships with other authors. I mean it's a social media platform too

Pretty funny huh?
Being active in a non-social social media platform has never been so easy as with Hive.

But what about an incentivised commenting? Earlier there was a LEO comment voter that rewarded every comment from the Leofinance frontend with Leo. It stopped few weeks after migration to Hive.

Th mechanics would take th quality of the comments into consideration.

Not sure.. I can see how it would encourage engagement, but my first thought is that it also attracts less quality in general..?

I might be completely wrong though.

That's just the way to go. With more exciting news from the posts, I expect to see improved engagements in th coming weeks.

Feels really good being in that top 10 list for people staking LEO right now. Hopefully I can turn that up even more here soon!

Also good seeing the front end being used more. Still a far and long road to go but it looks like it's having a little effect in terms of people taking part and being active with it. Either through posting or just through commenting.
