2-Day Weekend??

The covid pandemic had brought a negative consequences to many developing nations around the world. Moreover, the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war added more obstacles in the field of economy for such countries. The prices of commodities are skyrocketing crossing all time high. Moreover, the effect of war had brought a major upsurge of price in oil and gas industries as well. For many countries, oil, fuels and energies are the biggest imports than any other. Huge money is spent on buying such. The same can be seen in the context of my country.

Sri Lanka suffered a major financial crisis due to lack of foreign currency in importing various basic needs. With the lessons learned from this scenarios, the government here is focused on increasing the forex reserves so that we don't have to suffer like people in Sri Lanka. One way to do this is by decreasing the fuel consumption that is imported from another country. Doing so means that less foreign currency is given to the other country in buying fuel. Now the approval had already been made for providing 2 days off in a week i.e. Saturday and Sunday. The decision had been made with the view that people don't have to buy fuel to go office or the schools/colleges bus that don't have to buy fuel. It is going to be effective from this coming Sunday. Also the normal office hours had been increased by an hour per day.

Not so many businesses, organizations and companies are in favor of this decision that had been given a green light. It is yet to see what they are going to do for their employees. Either they gonna obey the rule or disobey.
