Sublime Sunday, The Exploder (Explorer) Hits 300,000 Miles!

This week I am going to do something "different" - but should be done somewhere, and it was Saturday Night, so...

I was driving home from "Micky D's" - that's what we call McDonald's 😉,

And I noticed.. In a mile I will crack the 300,000 mile (482803.2km)!

I had been waiting for this so I was watching... Since it was so close I decided to drive over to a parking lot and do a lap and see when it would hit the 300,000.
And it did it!

This is the first car I ever had in my entire life that has that many miles, and I am almost 64! And it has a lot less problems than cars I have owned with half the miles!

A brief history...
I had this "exotic Fiat", actually more a Alfa Romeo with a Fiat body... A 500X
It had a 21lbs. Boost Turbo, 6Speed manual, all the nice stuff... Built in Italy, not one of the U.S. or Mexico built cars.
This also cost a fortune! True it beat Mustangs and Camaros - most of them all day, but the cost was crippling...

Ferrari Spec oil at oil changes..🤔 For one...

So I got rid of it, at a loss...😳🙁😢

I bought the Exploder cheap on Craigslist, for $1500 and put $300 into it.

Except the 5 liter (on gas) it has been a very economical experience. Now it is "Not" the same as the Fiat by any means, but still not bad!

And that was My "Sublime Sunday" watching the odometer roll over to 300,000! Looking forward to "400,000" and hope it makes it!
