Glamping, enjoying the bonfire and some realizations - Weekend-Engagement 147.

Colorful Summer Vacation Photo Collages (2).jpg

I am always looking forward to spending time away from the city, thus, since all of my buddies before drifted as they all chose to settle in their respective hometowns since the pandemic. Since then, it took me a year before I was able to reconnect with nature. I got a new set of office friends. Suppose you read my previous blogs about my experiences at a campsite. The recent one is when I tried the physical activities, (obstacle courses).
We booked overnight as we wanted to savor the moment! Besides, we wanted to experience the bonfire. Unlike in other campsites, you had to pay, and this could be outside in your tent while grilling hotdogs and marshmallows. I had done that before, and my expectation was too far from reality. It was windy during that time, plus the type of wood given to us was ideal for the activity. The fire sparkled too fast, and the flame was too strong and high. It made us impossible to grill.
Yet, this one was different as there was a designated area. An open pavilion where all the guests are welcome to join for free. It started every night at 8:30.
I was excited as I felt I needed heat because I was almost freezing! It would be boring to stay inside the room. So, along with my companions, we entered the area earlier for the best spot. The wind was blowing so hard and the icy air breeze touched my face and made me shiver. So I sat in the corner with my hoodie!

After some time, the number of guests in the area started to add up. The staff followed them with a pile of wood in their hands.
As they started to light, and the flame sparks, it made me wonder a little. The lights were on!

Then the smoke started to form, surrounding the whole area! Eh, I was like, we wanted to lessen the cold temperature but feel like we are like smoke fish.

Opss, I was only impatient as, after a while, the smoke subsided, and everyone started to go near the fire for photographs

Looking at them, especially those I had heard that never or only saw and experienced like this at the campsite, any outdoor activities; I couldn't help but feel how lucky I am!

Growing up, I may have lacked material things, but I had too many beautiful memories. Others paid for some things to experience them, yet I got them countless times. Like this glamping, trying to experience the countryside and nature's beauty. How many times have I lit a bonfire since I was a kid?

As the heat from the fire started to wrap around the place, I felt energized, and it seemed my muscles weren't frozen anymore. So I stand up to have a group photo, along with my girl friends.

Spot me, trying to see if I have a power, a fire bender. LOL.

I was thinking, isn't it better if the lights are off? What do you think? And so, we asked the staff and were glad they agreed!

As the light from the flames illuminate the place, and it sparkles like fireworks, the smell of burning woods, the crackling, snip-snap-whoosh before it turns into ashes. Isn't it more fantastic?

Hello Hivers, hope you all had a great weekend and this is my entry in @galenkp - Weekend-Engagement 147.

Outdoors fire,
Tell us your fire in the great outdoors experience (not fictional, it must be true). It can be a camping experience, a gathering on the beach or other such place with friends, or a sex on the beach beside a fire thing with your lover - Just make sure the photos are your own and fire was involved. Do a post of at least 300 words. Your own photos are required.

Campfires are wonderful, I agree. There is something very primal about them, they allow us to be a bit freer for some time. Nice post.
