Each of us always has planned about the future, what or where to be. Yet, sometimes the turn of events doesn't go with us and leads us to another path. The choice is ours, whether to pursue what we had planned or go where life redirected us to be.

Many years ago, at a job interview, I was asked by HR, Five years from now, how I could see myself? Silly me, as my answer was unfavorable to the company, so in the end, I wasn't hired. I was just a young lady then, needed to be more knowledgeable.

Thus, if you asked me five years from now I could see myself as;

Working at home here in my husband's hometown in Batangas. I learned to care for myself at a young age as my mother was always busy working to earn money. She doesn't have time to cook breakfast, wash our clothes, or prepare my uniform at school. Bedtime stories? I only read that in several books but haven't experienced that in real life. No, I have never been mad at my mother though sometimes I felt sad too. As far as I can remember, I learned how to do household chores before I reached the teenage stage. That is why I promised myself that if I were a mother, my future offspring would never experience that. Not at an early age, as I will personally take care of them. Though the good side was, I grew up independent and could live anywhere alone.

Thus, with this crazy inflation, I don't think it would be okay if only my husband worked. Money was hard to earn these days but could be spent in just a blink of an eye. Aside from inflation, I was used of working for years and having my own money. So, I wouldn't say I like being financially dependent on my husband. Call me crazy, but I wanted to be prepared just in case something might happen. Like what? Like, what if my hubby loses his way going home and has another woman? What will happen to my children or me?

Ah, this is me in 2028.

Aside from working at home, I will be a Mother with two toddlers!, Initially, I wanted to have three as I came from a big family! Also, I want my child to have someone to be with. That would be his/her sibling. However, I don't think I could still manage to have it, so I am okay with two. I was hoping for a girl and a boy. Oh, I've longed to have my mini me whom I would dress and do some kikay things. Yet, if HE would bless me with different gender, that is still perfectly fine with me. I would surely be grateful.

Hehe, I visualize myself learning to cook and prepare delicious food for my kids. With such a unique presentation. What? I may not be a good cook for now, but I might be years from now. I am just too lazy to learn how, as eating alone with the food you prepare was not that enjoyable.
Also, I am sure that my life would be a lot of fun, our home would be fill will laughers as indeed kids brings so much joy. Lastly, embracing the challenges as a Mom.

What answer did you give that made them reject you?

For some reason, your five years from now is something I've always wanted. As much as Independent I am and could live alone, it would be nice to have a family and taking care of them while working. In the past, this idea might seem crazy but now, it's not at all which is thanks to tech advancements that enabled us to do so. Have you ever check out these youtube channel? the one I am showing you is my favorite. She's a homemaker from Korea that does simple but wholesome recipes and life vlogs.

My answer was didn't show that I will be staying in the company that long 🤣. Like I was just for an experience (well that was really my plan)
The company was looking for someone who would initially stay .

Same here been living independently for decades, it was okay at first as I always love having me time alone. Thus as the years passed by, me getting old, lol I wanted to have family and childrens. Hehe

Oh I will check this one!

hahahaha that's one of the thing we learned in life early on. Companies expect loyalty but they wouldn't mind ditching us at any moment especially when we no longer give the amount of profit that they wanted. I guess, it's part of getting older where some of us eventually want to settle down and have a family of sorts.

Exactly, saw that happened to some of my officemates when these pandemic happened!

The owner just chose people whom to be back at work . Those whom they think could perform a multitasking job! I pity those who already spent more than two decades working at them yet, wasn't given chance to be back at work...Sad truth but loyalty doesn't have value

I was in a class when my lecturer said if you ever find yourself in an interview with a company and they ask you a question relating to where you see yourself in the company in the next couple of years your answer should be," In the highest working position" and they will be like yes yes this person will be so dedicated 😂😂... Anyway I love the dreams you have for yourself. I love children so so much and I give you all the best wishes❤️❤️.

From the "mistakes" we learn and the truth is that you can't even call it a mistake because in that first interview surely you only were sincere, hehe.

I have always liked to be independent, so I understand you very well. I wish you the best of luck and may you have the family you long for.

Haha , ah yes I was sincere without knowing my honestly would lead me not being hired 🤣.

Hehe, the joy of having your own money to spend in everything you wanted! 😁.
Also, we are now in the Era that working Mom was already in trend.

Thanks for dropping by and happy weekend!

I think that is a really great goal to have and I sometimes wish I could work from home to, but being a preeschool teacher... Not exactly possible 😁 LMAO

But to work from home and care for your future kids and husband seems like a good thing. And that kind of work gives you more freedom than many other jobs.

I hope it all happens for you Sister and most important that you are happy ❤️

Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful sunday. Cheers 🌸

Being a teacher is one of the noble jobs! Especially in pre-school? Wow! That requires a lot of patience and time consuming too..I admire you for that!

Thank you and hoping I could achieve it
