It was a chilling Saturday and satisfying the cravings of this little human inside my belly.

Of all the days a week, Saturday is the chillin' at work. It was smooth as fewer concerns were received from our stores. Most of the time, we are only busy catching up with our backlogs. Aside from this, as a public commuter, I don't have to worry about as few passengers, so it means it is easy to get a ride. So, usually I wake up late! Yeah, I also arrived at work an hour or more later than our business hours 🤣. I am not taking advantage, but I felt tired working six days a week at eight hours a day! Perhaps it's the pregnancy thing that I badly wanted to have more sleep and rest than usual.

Speaking of, at past eleven in the morning, my stomach was already grumbling 😫! My baby was already hungry, but I remembered arriving past nine-thirty earlier. This means working only for more than two hours. LOL! Somehow, I felt shy, but what can I do? Still, I punched lunch break and ate in the nearest restaurant. It was only less than a minute's walk from our office building.

Along with many fast food chains, Buddy's is one of the best choices to dine in.

Facts about Buddy's.

Nope, not your friend, as it was a well-known restaurant in the Philippines serving longganisa and pancit Lucban (lucban is a place somewhere in Quezon where it originates). All branches have a branding designs; Festive as the tagline about fiesta.

This is what the ceiling looked like the last time I dined here last December. Along with the Christmas designs were colorful lanterns.

This time when I visited, this is how it looked like.

You could still feel the festive at the same time homey vibes by looking at the woody and colorful interior. Colorful lanterns were still hung, and I don't think they will be removed. The sunflower designs are carved on the chairs and the unique ceiling patterns.

Unlike nearby fast food chains, they offer dishes usually cooked at home at reasonable prices. From traditional Filipino Sinigang to barbeques, sisig, pancit, and the one I have been craving since last night, the longganisa.

Just thinking of the crunchy skin taste dipped with spicy vinegar makes me drool! Initially, I wanted to order a dozen paired with one cup of rice, but the staff offered me a combo.

Four pcs of longganisa, sunny side up egg, fried rice, and pickled papaya for a side dish. Most of the time this is usually for breakfast, but it doesn't bother me as this is what I wanted for lunch.

One thing they are well-known for was their unique sawsawan/sauce. The vinegar wasn't one of the commercialized brands as they have their supplier. As someone who grew up in the countryside it wasn't hard to tell that it was made from coconut wine. Does anyone here tasted it? My father used to make some of coconut flowers and was fond of drinking. If wines aren't sold then we will transfer them into another container, leaving it for a while until fermentation happens.

Aside from vinegar, we Filipinos are fond of adding chili, siling labuyo to be exact in our made sauce. As the sourness and spices mixed up, it was the best!

Cutting these into slices and dipping them in the sauce I mixed along with the fried rice, my tummy, rather than my baby was delighted. This is what my taste buds have been craving for!

Of course sunny side-up egg goes well with ketchup! Do you, too?

It took little time to finish my lunch. Crazy but I don't feel full 🤣; you know the feeling that, yes, I feed my tummy. Only that but not eat enough to burp, ahaha goodness, this little human made me indeed a huge eater.

After resting for a while, I left and couldn't help but notice the bougainvilleas starting to bloom on the other side of the road.

The road is almost empty of vehicles, and even a few people are walking by. Though it was noon, the breeze of the wind that touched my face as I walked was slightly colder. It reminds me that cold days are coming sooner.

We have a lot of vinegar here made from coconut wine. We are selling it on the market. And about the food you crave, that is my favorite breakfast, and we call it "longsilog" which means longanisa, sinangag rice, itlog/egg.
