Hello everyone, if you happened to read my blog days ago, you probably read that I finally made it in visiting my husband here in Taiwan! It took me almost an hour before I was finally done with the immigration here, so I went out at the airport nearly seven in the morning. I was thankful one of his friends volunteered to go with him to pick me up; less hustle since he had a car.

Near eight in the evening, we arrived at the transient we rented, and by that time, I was dying to eat something like hot soup! It's a Good thing there was the nearest shabu-shabu. Just a few walks away.

Even though it was dark as the road was lit only by the traffic lights, I couldn't help but notice how peaceful the surroundings were. I felt safe while we were walking side by side.

Lohana Mini Hot Pot

Suppose there was a bigger hot pot resto than here, but it was far, plus I am really starving. The last time I ate something decent was the other day.

One thing I observed, mostly here, was using motorcycles regardless of gender and age. See a lot of park .

As we entered, we were ushered by the staff, who gave us the menu.

For $4.49, we ordered two bowls of shabu-shabu and other perks. For the meat, I chose pork and beef for my husband.

After placing our order, we exited the table and went to the beverage and sauce areas. They would be preparing only the bowl of soup, and the rest was self-service! Now I get why there were only two staff.

Everything we needed was just in the same corner near the entrance. Yet what caught my attention first was;

Sweet potato chips; it's been a while since I have eaten this, so I took a saucer and got some. Just enough to satisfy my cravings.

You can get all the seasonings needed for the soup on the right side. It is up to you your preferences if you want it spicy, more salty, or bland.

Honestly, I am not that familiar, so I let my husband do the task.

I'm still trying to figure out what he mixed, but one thing I am sure of was spring onions!

Of course, there is also a pot of HOT Rice!

They have several choices of juices for the drinks, and they even had coffee!

After we were done, we returned to our table, and my problem started. I don't know how to use chopsticks!

How can I eat these chips? Ah, use your hands; people here won't mind you. Husband says! No, I don't want that and suddenly remembered tricks I watched before. Thanks to tissue Paper, issues were resolved!

A few people were around, coming in a group, and some were dining alone.

Finally, it was served, and it looked so appetizing! We placed the pot on the fire to cook the meat and veggies. We mixed it with the seasonings and slices of spring onions.

As the aroma penetrated my nostrils, my mouth almost watered! Supposedly, I was to take photos of the ingredients but forgot about it as I started to devour the food. My tummy was satisfied and happy with hot soup crispy half-cooked veggies. We even had a bowl of rice, and another thing that I observed here was that the rice tasted good. No, don't get me wrong, but if rice is unlimited most of the time in my country, it isn't that delectable!

I was sweating after eating, evident that I truly enjoyed my meal. Want a dessert? Lohana Mini Hot Pot got you as they also had different flavors of ice cream for you to choose from. This is an inclusion of what you had paid.

Matcha, cookies in cream, chocolates, cookies in cream, vanilla, cone, or in a cup.

Choosing was challenging, so get small servings in all flavors and fill my cup! That was a brilliant idea, and so far, I did enjoy my first meal here in Taiwan.

See you in my following blogs, and I am excited to share beautiful places and
foods here.

hahaha kasi dati it was cheaper to fly pa Taiwan from Cebu or Manila. Then I tried to live in Manila for one month, 2 weeks lang fly na ako to Taiwan dahil that time it was practical for me to fly there. I stayed in a hostel na libre lang accommodation ko that time din. hehe! Yong round trip pwede na PHP 3,500. haha!
