What will be our baby after FIVE long years of waiting? A Girl or Boy? The Gender Reveal.

Last year, the month of October to be exact, I shared here in the community that finally, after five years of waiting, we made it! We got pregnant and the best gift I received for my birthday.

How time flies, and I shared some blogs here about my journey, check ups, ultrasound and even crazy cravings.

Now, currently in the 26 weeks and 66% of and close to delivering the baby. Yet, before that, knowing the gender was important. How can I purchase some of the needs like crib, more clothes if I don't?

So last month around the last week of February I underwent *pelvic ultrasound to monitor the baby's progress and at the same time the gender. Initially, gender reveal idea was not on my mind due to following reasons. One, the hubby is not here so kinda sad, second with all the preparation physically I can't make it. It would be too tiring, plus I can't cook . I mean for a huge servings, just for myself.

Yet my in-laws insisted that I should so I would have a memory to look back and also for us to experience. They assure me not to get worried as they would surely help me.

That thought was enough to convince me but it wasn't like throwing a party. Instead an intimate dinner with the family. Choose Sunday to ensure everyone is available.

They added simple decoration in one corner of the house as a backdraft for pictures. I highly appreciate it as it has a touch of mickey mouse!

Since my husband is not here, I told them I prefer slicing a cake. At least it wasn't awkward .

Aside from my in-laws, my college besties decided to join. They are the ones who invited themselves, not me, lol! Moreover, they told me they are coming and specifically mentioned that I won't invite them .

Sadly the husband has work and his shift started at 7:20 in the evening so I was kinda in a rush. Dinner is not yet ready at that time which makes me feel bad. I was looking forward to slicing a cake with him, while on a video call.

With a frowning face as I was mad, I kept on bubbling with one sister in law cause the lumpia was not ready. LOL, shame on me as I am only asking for a favor . That is why I was upset as I felt that I don't have a right to feel this.

So, we decided to start the party without the husband .

Yet, I was lucky that night as a message suddenly popped out that he could manage to take a short break to join.

If someone remembered I mentioned before I have a strong hunch it's a boy! Yet this past week, it feels like a girl!

After seeing what was inside the cake as I sliced it, here is the husband's reaction! He was grinning like he won in a lottery with matching clapping of hands!

Now you have an idea what gender is the gender?

I sliced almost half of the cake, hoping my luck might find PinK in there but sadly there is none. Definetely it's a BOY! Our first baby after five years!

And this is how it goes when you are in a long distance relationship! So thankful for the technology. We might be miles apart yet we still manage to do it together.

As a mom, the idea of having a daughter to dress up excites me. However , no matter the gender, no doubt I would love my baby. Still looking forward to having a healthy and bouncing baby in JUNE.
