Mi paseo por "La Quinta de los Molinos" | My stroll through "La Quinta de los Molinos"

Todos los días tenía que ir a la facultad de estomatología, que era donde solía estudiar mi carrera y siempre pasaba frente a la quinta de los molinos sin saber que era o que había adentro. Recuerdo que cada vez que pasaba me prometía a mí misma que algún día entraría y no fue hasta el último día de mi primer año que decidí hacerle una visita justo después de la prueba final. Me encantó lo que encontré en el interior y creo que merece la pena escribir sobre ello.

Every day I had to go to the Faculty of Stomatology, which was where I used to study my career, and I always passed in front of the Quinta de los Molinos without knowing what it was or what was inside without knowing what it was or what was inside. I remember that every time I passed by I promised myself that someday I would go inside and it wasn't until the last day of my first year that I decided to pay it a visit right after the final exam. I loved what I found inside and I think it's worth writing about.

El lugar está ubicado en infanta y carlos III, no tiene pérdida. Mi visita empezó entrando en la casa-museo de Máximo Gómez, ese sería el punto de partida del tour que haríamos. Mi primera impresión fue la hermosura arquitectónica de la casa, amplia de espacio y decorada con coloridos ventanales. Al rededor de la casa se podían apreciar jardines de aspecto colonial adornados con estatuas que dan un aire de antiguedad que simplemente me encantó.

The place is located at infanta and carlos III, you can't miss it. My visit started by entering the house-museum of Máximo Gómez, that would be the starting point of the tour we would take. My first impression was the architectural beauty of the house, ample space and decorated with colorful windows. Around the house you could appreciate colonial-looking gardens adorned with statues that give an air of antiquity that simply enchanted me.

El encargado del recorrido nos explicó detalles interesantes sobre el lugar y todas las especies que veríamos allí. La vegetación exquisita y exhuberante creaba un ambiente agradable, aunque no hubiera hecho nada me hubiera sentido en paz y armonía por la belleza visual y la tranquilidad que se respiraba. Luego pasamos por un lugar llamado "jardín japonés" que tenía una especie de estanque con carpas nadando en él, me encantan sus colores, cuánto me hubiese gustado haber tenido la oportunidad de alimentarlas.

The tour leader explained interesting details about the place and all the species we would see there. The exquisite and exuberant vegetation created a pleasant atmosphere, even if I had done nothing I would have felt in peace and harmony because of the visual beauty and the tranquility that was breathed. Then we passed by a place called "Japanese garden" that had a kind of pond with carp swimming in it, I love their colors, how much I would have liked to have had the opportunity to feed them.

Seguimos el recorrido pasando por la que yo pienso que es la mayor atracción que puedes hallar allí, el mariposario. Es una especie de invernadero, un pedacito de paraíso capturado en ese pequeño espacio, repleto de arbustos con flores, plantas colgantes y las mariposas revoloteaban sin parar, fue un espectáculo que no ves todos los días, un momento especial y hasta mágico. El guía nos contaba datos curiosos sobre la variedad que albergaban ahí, era la mezcla perfecta entre hermoso y educativo.

We continued the tour passing by what I think is the biggest attraction you can find there, the butterfly garden. It is a kind of greenhouse, a little piece of paradise captured in that small space, full of flowering bushes, hanging plants and butterflies fluttering non-stop, it was a show that you don't see every day, a special and even magical moment. The guide told us curious facts about the variety that was housed there, it was the perfect mix between beautiful and educational.

Desde el exterior se podía oir un sonido peculiar que despierta cierta curiosidad, ese sonido no era nada más y nada menos que el canto del pavo real. En efecto, la finalización del viaje era darle un vistazo a los animales que tenían en cautiverio y el más atractivo era el pavo real. También se podían apreciar palomas y gallinas exóticas, no soy amante a los lugares que mantienen a los animales encerrados aunque entiendo las razones.

From the outside you could hear a peculiar sound that aroused some curiosity, that sound was nothing more and nothing less than the song of the peacock. Indeed, the end of the trip was to take a look at the animals they had in captivity and the most attractive was the peacock. You could also appreciate exotic pigeons and chickens, I am not a lover of places that keep animals locked up although I understand the reasons.

Como sea, esta última se convierte en una atracción más que le agrega motivos para hacerle una visita a este lugar. Un punto verde en medio de la ciudad donde sientes que puedes salir de tu vida ajetreada de la rutina y el trabajo. Si necesitas un descanso y quieres salir de tu día a día puedes acercarte aquí, te aseguro que no te vas a sentir agobiado por el ruido o las multitudes, lo que lo hace una experiencia más relajante. Anyway, the latter becomes one more attraction that adds reasons to pay a visit to this place. A green spot in the middle of the city where you feel like you can get away from your hectic life of routine and work.
