Alphabet Hunt: 6 Photos starting with the letter W

Hello friends,
with this post I participate in @barbara-orenya's Alphabet Hunt initiative.

In each of the following photos, the name of the main subject starts with the letter W.

I really like this contest because taking part in it is also an opportunity to search in my photographic archive which is like taking a trip down memory lane.

Let's start this little trip! :)

A Wheelchair and the sea

The photo above was taken two years ago while I was on vacation in Santa Maria di Leuca.
Next to my umbrella there was a woman sitting on a wheelchair.
When the woman entered the sea I witnessed a scene that remained indelibly imprinted in my mind.
In the sea there was no longer the woman of a moment before, there was a little girl with a bright smile.

The image of that joy, of that sense of freedom...the image of the light in that woman's eyes moved me.

I was literally immobilized and enchanted by that scene.

How many times do we complain about what we do not have and would like to have?
And we forget what we have and how lucky we are...

The three puppets in the picture were created in an exciting puppet race.
The participants were three like the puppets: my daughter, my wife and my sister.

The competition was won by my daughter Chiara who is 7 years old and objectively her puppet was not the most beautiful ... but when the judges are the grandparents the outcome of the competition is practically already established before starting the competition :)

Waves

When the sea is rough you can't swim but the spectacle of the waves is always beautiful to watch.

Window

In the picture below there is a window of a church in the middle of a park in my city.
More than the window itself, the reflected sky that coloured the two glasses of blue and white attracted my attention.

Alphabet Hunt: 6 Foto che iniziano con la lettera W

Ciao amici,
con questo post partecipo all'iniziativa Alphabet Hunt di @barbara-orenya.

In ognuna delle foto seguenti, il nome del soggetto principale inizia con la lettera W.

Questo contest mi piace molto perchè partecipare è anche l'occasione per cercare nel mio archivio fotografico che equivale a fare un viaggio nei ricordi.

Iniziamo questo piccolo viaggio! :)

A Wheelchair and the sea

La foto in alto l'ho scattata due anni fa a Santa Maria di Leuca.
Vicino al mio obrellone c'era una donna seduta su una sedia a rotelle.
Quando la donna è entrata in mare ho assistito ad una scena che è rimasta impressa indelebile nella mia mente.
In mare non c'era più la donna di un attimo prima, c'era una bambina dal sorriso luminoso.

L'immagine di quella gioia, di quel senso di libertà...l'immagine della luce negli occhi di quella donna mi ha fatto emozionare.

Sono rimasto letteralmente immobilizzato e incantato da quella scena.

Quante volte ci lamentiamo di quello che non abbiamo e vorremmo avere?
E ci dimentichiamo di quello che abbiamo e di quanto siamo fortunati...

I tre burattini in foto sono stati creati in un'avvincente gara di burattini.
I partecipanti erano tre come i burattini: mia figlia, mia moglie e mia sorella.

La gara l'ha vinta mia figlia Chiara che ha 7 anni e oggettivamente il suo burattino non era il più bello...ma quando i giudici sono i nonni l'esito della gara è praticamente scontato.

Waves - Onde

---

Quando il mare è mosso non si può nuotare ma lo spettacolo delle onde è sempre bello da guardare.

Window - Finestra

---

Nella foto in basso c'è la finestra di una chiesa che si trova al centro di un parco della mia città.
Più che la finestra in se ha attirato la mia attenzione il cielo riflesso che colorava i due vetri di azzurro e bianco.

Nella foto in basso c'è mia figlia mentre scrive sul quaderno di scuola.

La foto in basso c'è un orologio che ho fotografato in un Bar della mia città che è pieno di oggetti vintage bellissimi.
