Hello friends,
the protagonist of this post is the card Rusty Android that is also the protagonist of the contest of Splinterlands titled "Share Your Battle" of this week.
The Splinterlands contest requires you to use Rusty Android in battle and share the battle in which it is deployed.

On card there is a drawing of an android and so I thought to share an all robotic battle :)
Rusty Android will clash with the cards put into play by a non-human player: a BOT (eminers-18)!

Card: Rusty Android

Description, Statistics and Abilities

---

Rusty Android is a card from the collection Reward, is a Common card and is a card from the element Neutral.

Rusty Android level 1 has the following statistics:

• It has a cost in medium mana (6)
• It has a 2 point of attack (Meele Attack)
• It has 6 life points and has no armor points.
• It has a very low speed (1)
• It has a skill: Magic Reflect.

Cards that have the Magic Reflect ability when they receive an attack from a card with a magic attack counterattack with a reduced magic attack.

Cost, Levels and Ratings

The lowest cost of Rusty Android (Level 1) on the market is 0,020 $ (October 22, 2020)

Level considerations

---

The level that in my opinion has the best ratio benefits / price is the fourth level.
To reach the fourth level you need 12 cards to combine and the total cost is 0.24 $.
To upgrade Rusty Android to the highest level you need to buy 505 cards and the total cost is 10.1 $.
Rusty Android is a cheap card but it is not usable profitably in every battle and above all there are much better cards.
My personal advice:That's the main reason why I recommend upgrading to level 4 or at least I recommend upgrading only after considering upgrading other cards that are much more useful in battle.

In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:.

• Armored Up: All cards have two additional armor points in addition to normal statistics.
• Mana Cap: 38.
• Useable Summoners: Only Summoners from the Fire element, Life element, Dragon element and Water element can be used in battle.

My battle formation

The maximum number of cards that can be deployed in battle is 7 ( 1 summoner + 6 monsters).
I have chosen to deploy (in order of position):

Rusty Android - Gloridax Magus - Ruler Of The Seas - Gold Dragon - Crustacean King - Water Elemental.

First position

- Rusty Android (Level 3) -

Why did I deploy Rusty Android (Level 3) in first position?

Because it is the only position that allows Rusty Android to attack at every round. Before this contest I never lined up Rusty Android in the first position because I have better cards that play better like the neutral cards Hydra and Spirit Miner.
Each element has one or more cards that are preferable to Rusty Android.
For example Manticore plays much better than Rusty Android even in first position.

Rusty Android's strengths are:

• the 7 life points that are good for a card that costs only 6 mana.
• Its ability (Magic Reflect)
  It is not one of my favorite cards and the times I have used Rusty Android are counted on the fingers of one hand...

Second position

- Gloridax Magus (Level 3) -

Why did I deploy Gloridax Magus (Level 3) in second position?

I chose Gloridax Magus mainly for its abilities.
The Blast ability is one of my favorite abilities and in this battle it will allow me to hit the opponent cards in first and second position at the same time.
Even more important is the Shatter ability because it is functional to the rule of battle.
When the battle rule is Armored Up the shatter ability becomes very useful. Thanks to this ability each attack of Gloridax Magus will destroy the armor points of the hit card.

Gloridax Magus is a very useful card that I use often.

Third position

Ruler of the Seas (Level 3).

Why did I choose Ruler of the Seas (Level 3)?

Ruler of the Seas is one of my favorite water element cards.
It has three very useful skills:

• Blast
• Swiftness
• Silenced
  It has an excellent magic attack (3) and thanks to the Silenced ability the opponent's Spirit Miner card loses one attack point (2 -> 1).

I chose the third position because it has 5 life points and the third position ensures good protection.

Fourth position

Gold Dragon (Level 4).

Why did I choose Gold Dragon (Level 4)?

Gold Dragon is a card that I use almost always together with dragon summoners.
It's a really exceptional card. In the battle of this post it can be deployed only as a level 3 card and so it loses the Magic reflect ability but it is able to restore two life points at each round of the game (Heal ability) and it is able to attack two cards at the same time (Blast ability).
I chose to deploy it in fourth position because it is the most valuable and strong card in my battlefield and the fourth position allows me to protect it.

Fifth position

Crustacean King (Level 8).

Why did I choose Crustacean King (Level 8)?

Crustacean King is one of the most useful cards of the water element and in the battle of this post allows Rusty Android to acquire two additional armor points.
It costs only 3 mana and has two skills: Tank Heal and Protect.
It's thanks to its two abilities that Rusty Android resists repeated attacks from the opponent's cards.

Six position

Water Elemental (Level 3).

Why did I choose Water Elemental (Level 3)?

Because it has a high speed (5) and can avoid many melee and distance attacks and for this reason it is a good card to deploy in last or penultimate position.
Its good attack (3) and valuable healing ability make Water Elemental always a good choice.

Summoner

The Summoner I have chosen is Delwin Dragonscale - Level 8.

It is one of my favorites.
Thanks to its ability all my cards with magic attack get an extra attack point.

Final considerations

Considerations on the Battle

---

During the first round my opponent loses the first two cards while I still have all my cards in play.

eminers-18 is a BOT and its deployment is not optimal.
I prefer to play against real people because the battles against BOTs are strategically unfunny.
The battle ends at the beginning of Round 3 but as you can see from the following picture the outcome of the battle was already evident at the end of the second round.

Rusty Android behaves well in battle but the merit is mainly of the opponent's roBOTic :)

Considerations on Rusty Android

---

Rusty Android is a card I hardly ever use.
I decided to use it only to participate in the weekly Splinterlands contest.
There are at least twenty more useful cards to deploy in first position.
Rusty Android can be useful and has a better chance to be used when the battle rules are Up Close and Personal and Melee Mayhem which allow Rusty Android to be deployed in a different position from the first position.
In conclusion Rusty Android is a card that can be useful for new players because it is a cheap card and can be used in the initial leagues of Splinterland but in advanced leagues where you often have to face legendary cards in first position, it has very little chance to be used.

Rusty Android Vs a BOT: Strategia di Battaglia e Considerazioni

la protagonista di questo post è la carta Rusty Android che è anche la protagonista del contest di Splinterlands dal titolo "Share Your Battle" di questa settimana.
Il contest di Splinterlands richiede di condividere una battaglia in cui viene schierato un androide e quindi ho pensato di condividere una battaglia tutta robotica :)
Rusty Android si scontrerà con le carte messe in gioco da un giocatore non umano: un BOT (eminers-18)!

Considerazioni sui livelli

---

Il livello che secondo me ha il miglior rapporto benefici / prezzo è il quarto livello.
Per raggiungere il quarto livello sono necessarie 12 carte da combinare e il costo totale è di 0.24 $
Per portare Rusty Android al massimo livello bisogna acquistare 505 carte e il costo totale è di 10.1 $.
Rusty Android è una carta economica ma non è utilizzabile proficuamente in ogni battaglia e soprattutto ci sono carte decisamente migliori.
E' questo il motivo principale per cui consiglio di portarla massimo al livello 4 o almeno consiglio il potenziamento solo dopo aver considerato il potenziamento di altre carte che sono molto più utili in battaglia.

Il massimo numero di carte schierabili in battaglia è 7 ( 1 evocatore + 6 mostri).
Ho scelto di schierare (in ordine di posizione):

Prima posizione

- Rusty Android (Livello 2) -

Perchè ho schierato Rusty Android (Livello 3) in prima posizione?

Perchè è l'unica posizione che permette a Rusty Android di attaccare ad ogni round. Prima di questo contest non ho mai schierato Rusty Android in prima posizione perchè ho carte migliori e che giocano meglio come ad esempio le carte neutrali Hydra e Spirit Miner.
Ogni elemento ha una o più carte preferibili a Rusty Android.
Ad esempio Manticore gioca molto meglio di Rusty Android anche in prima posizione.

I punti forti di Rusty Android sono:

• i 7 punti vita che sono buoni per una carta che costa solo 6 mana.
• la sua abilità
  Non è una delle mie carte preferite e le volte che ho usato Rusty Android si contano sulle dita di una mano...

Seconda posizione

- Gloridax Magus (Livello 3) -

Perchè ho schierato Gloridax Magus (Livello 3) in seconda posizione?

Ho scelto Gloridax Magus principalmente per le sue abilità.
L'abilità Blast è una delle mie abilità preferite e in questa battaglia mi permetterà di colpire contemporaneamente le carte avversarie in prima e seconda posizione.
Ancora più importante è l'abilità Shatter perchè è funzionale alla regola della battaglia.
Quando la regola di battaglia è Armored Up l'abilità shatter diventa utilissima. Grazie a questa abilità ogni attacco di Gloridax Magus distruggerà i punti armatura della carta colpita.

Gloridax Magus è una carta molto utile e che utilizzo spesso.

Terza posizione

Ruler of the Seas (Livello 3).

Perchè ho scelto Ruler of the Seas (Livello 3)?

Ruler of the Seas è una carta delle mie carte preferite dell'elemento acqua.
Ha tre abilità utilissime:

• Blast
• Swiftness
• Silenced
  Ha un ottimo attacco magico (3) e grazie all'abilità Silenced la carta Spirit Miner avversaria perde un punto di attacco (2 -> 1).

Ho scelto la terza posizione perchè ha 5 punti vita e la terza posizione assicura una buona protezione.

Quarta posizione

Gold Dragon (Livello 4).

Perchè ho scelto Gold Dragon (Livello 4)?

Gold Dragon è una carta che uso quasi sempre insieme agli evocatori dragone fuoco.
E' una carta davvero eccezionale. Nella battaglia di questo post può essere schierata solo come carta di livello 3 e quindi perde l'abilità Magic reflect ma è in grado di ripristinare due punti vita ad ogni round di gioco (abilità Heal) ed è in grado di attaccare due carte contemporaneamente (abilità Blast).
Ho scelto di schierarla in quarta posizione perchè è la carta più preziosa e forte nel mio schieramento di battaglia.

Quinta posizione

Crustacean King (Livello 8).

Perchè ho scelto Crustacean King (Livello 8)?

Crustacean King è una delle carte più utili dell'elemento acqua e nella battaglia di questo post permette a Rusty Android di acquistare due punti armatura aggiuntivi.
Costa solo 3 Mana e ha due abilità: Tank Heal e Protect.
E' grazie alle sue due abilità che Rusty Android resiste ai ripetuti attacchi delle carte avversarie.

Sesta posizione

Water Elemental (Livello 3).

---

---

Perchè ho scelto Water Elemental (Livello 3)?

Poichè ha un alta velocità (5) e può evitare molti attacchi da mischia e dalla distanza e per questo motivo è un'ottima carta da schierare in ultima o penultima posizione.
Il suo buon attacco (3) e La preziosa abilità di cura rendono Water Elemental sempre una buona scelta.

Evocatore

L'evocatore che ho scelto è Delwin Dragonscale - Livello 8.

E' uno dei miei preferiti.
Grazie alla sua abilità tutte le mie carte con attacco magico ottengono un punto attacco in più.

Considerazioni finali

Considerazioni sulla Battaglia

---

Durante il primo round il mio avversario perde le prime due carte mentre io ho ancora tutte le mie carte in gioco.

eminers-18 è un BOT e il suo schieramento non è ottimale.
Preferisco giocare contro persone reali perchè le battaglie contro i BOT sono strategicamente poco divertenti.
La battaglia termina all'inizio del Round 3 ma come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente l'esito della battaglia era praticamente evidente già alla fine del secondo round.

Rusty Android si comporta bene in battaglia ma il merito è soprattuto del roBOTico avversario :)

Considerazioni su Rusty Android

---

Rusty Android è una carta che non uso praticamente mai.
Ho deciso di utilizzarla solo per partecipare al contest settimanale di Splinterlands.
Ci sono almeno venti carte più utili da schierare in prima posizione.
Rusty Android può essere utile e ha maggiori possibilità di essere utilizzata quando le regole di battaglia sono Up Close e Personal e Melee Mayhem che permettono a Rusty Android di essere schierato in una posizione diversa dalla prima posizione.
In conclusione Rusty Android è una carta che può essere utile ai nuovi giocatori perchè è una carta economica ed è utilizzabile nelle leghe iniziali di Splinterland ma nelle leghe avanzate dove bisogna spesso affrontare carte leggendarie in prima posizione, ha davvero poca possibilità di essere utilizzata.
