I've been practicing to be a tattoo artist for 2 months now. Well, it's really something I'm taking very seriously, so seriously that little by little I'm getting to know more implements, more things, more skin types, and as they say: practice makes perfect, which is still not my case, I still have a long way to go but without a doubt I'm going at a steady pace which is what's important.

Ya voy para 2 meses practicando a ser tatuadora. Bueno, realmente es algo que me estoy tomando muy en serio, tan en serio que poco a poco voy conociendo más implementes, más cosas, más tipos de piel, y como dicen: la práctica hace al maestro, que aún no es mi caso, me falta aún mucho camino por recorrer pero sin duda voy a paso constante que es lo importante.

Today I bring you my eighth tattoo, a special tattoo because it was a big challenge for three things: one of them was that my canvas is a darker person, that makes it much more difficult because it is more complicated to see what you are marking. The second is that it was on the lower part of the arm, and I hadn't touched that skin yet, and third, I had a lot of straight lines and I couldn't make a mistake so as not to lose the scenic aspect of the drawing.

Hoy les traigo mi octavo tatuaje, un tatuaje especial porque era un gran reto por tres cosas: una de ellas era que mi lienzo es una persona más morena, eso hace que se dificulte mucho más porque es más complicado ver lo que estás marcando. La segunda es que era en la parte baja del brazo, y esa piel aún no la había tocado, y tercero, tenía muchas líneas rectas y no podía equivocarme para no perder la escénica del dibujo.

But I felt confident to do it, so I turned on my machine, positioned myself as best as I could, and played my project: a hummingbird with leaves and roses around it. On top of that, I would apply shadows, so it was a bit more complicated. I had already talked to her for a while, because she has other tattoos that are of flowers, so I researched some that might fit her, printed it out and it fit the way we wanted it.

Pero me sentí con confianza de hacerlo, así que prendí mi máquina, me ubiqué lo mejor que pude, y le di play a mi proyecto: un colibrí con hojas y rosas alrededor. Además de eso, le aplicaría sombras, por ende era un poco más complicado. Ya yo había hablado con ella desde hace un tiempo, porque tiene otros tatuajes que aon de flores, así que investigué algunos que pudieran quedarle bien, lo imprimí y le calzó como queríamos.

After 3 and a half hours, she calmly let me tattoo her, she told me that it didn't hurt so much, so that gave me more confidence. The lines were looking pretty good and here is the result. The important thing is that even when it is 100% healed, I plan to improve some lines that I left a little bit without strength.

Luego de 3 horas y media, ella con tranquilidad se dejó tatuar, me decía que no le dolía tanto, así que eso me daba más confianza. Ls líneas estaban quedando bastante bien y aquí te dejo el resultado. Lo importante es que igual cuando esté 100% curado, tengo pensado en mejorar algunos trazos que dejé un poco sin fuerza.
