Last year I decided to learn how to tattoo. I bought a little used machine, but due to my lack of knowledge on the subject, it was bad and basically I could do almost nothing with it because the needle did not come out practically nothing. That discouraged me a lot, so I stopped my idea.
In January, I got my first tattoo, which I showed in a past publication, which was the face of my doggy daughter, Luna. Being in that space, sharing with those people, who were only focused on doing the work and being in chill mode, without any stress, made me rethink my past idea.

El año pasado me propuse aprender a tatuar. Compré una maquinita usada, pero por desconocimiento en la materia, estaba mala y básicamente no podía hacer casi nada con ella porque la aguja no salía prácticamente nada. Eso me desmotivó bastante, por lo que paré mi idea.
En enero, me realicé mi primer tatuaje, que lo mostré en una publicación pasada, que fue la cara de mi hija perruna, Luna. El estar en ese espacio, compartiendo con esas personas, que solo estaban pendientes de hacer el trabajo y estar en modo chill, sin estrés alguno, me hizo replantearme mi idea pasada.

So I grabbed my machine again and adjusted it as much as I could, and got the needle to come out a little bit at least. With that I started practicing on some faux fur I had lying around. A few days later, I got frustrated again and stopped again and said: I must make the effort to buy a machine. Looking around in several places, a normal machine, not so good, cost me about $70, it was really the cheapest I could get.

Así que volví a agarrar mi máquina y le hice un ajuste en lo que pude, y logré que la aguja saliera poco por lo menos. Con eso empecé a practicar en unas pieles sintéticas que tenía por ahí. Unos días después, volví a frustrarme y paré nuevamente y dije: debo hacer el esfuerzo de comprarme una máquina. Averiguando en varios sitios, una máquina normal no tan buena, me salía en 70$ aproximadamente, realmente era la más económica que podía conseguir.

As I had to go to the tattoo studio on other occasions accompanying @vero10h to get his tattoos done, I think life listened to me and decided to put me in the way of one of the artists there. For some reason I told him that my machine was bad where the needle goes in, but that the motor was good. For information, I started to look for the photo of the machine on the internet and, as fate would have it, he told me that he had one just like it, but the engine had been damaged.
That was a sign for me, so many machines and just that was the one he had kept in oblivion. And he had "damaged" the part that I had well. I immediately asked him if he would sell it to me, and he said yes. Then looking at my machine, he realized that his machine was out of adjustment, so he adjusted it and basically made it 100% operational again. At that point I thought, he's definitely not going to sell it to me anymore, but he said yes. He told me to give him $30 and that was it. At that moment I was extremely happy because I was going to have a good machine, and besides, if that motor got damaged, I had my spare. Now I have a machine for a while. It is not the best, but for the purpose of getting started in this world, it is more than perfect.

Como tuve que ir en otras oportunidades al estudio de tatuaje acompañando a @vero10h a realizarse sus tatuajes, la vida creo que me escuchó y decidió ponerme en el camino a uno de los artistas de allí. Por alguna razón yo le comenté que mi máquina estaba mala por donde se pone la aguja, pero que el motor estaba bueno. A manera de información, empecé a buscar la foto de la máquina por internet y por cosas del destino, él me dice que él tenía una así igual que se le había dañado el motor.
Eso para mí fue una señal, tantas máquinas y justamente ese era la que él tenía guardada en el olvido. Y a él se le había “dañado” la parte que yo tenía bien. Inmediatamente le pregunté que si me la vendía, y me dijo que sí. Luego viendo mi máquina, se dio cuenta que la suya estaba era desajustada, así que la ajustó y básicamente la volvió a poner operativa al 100%. En ese momento pensé: ya no me la va a vender definitivamente, pero me dijo que sí. Me dijo que le diera 30$ y listo. En ese momento fui extremadamente feliz porque iba a tener una máquina buena, y además si se llegaba a dañar ese motor, tenía el mío de repuesto. Ahora tengo máquina para rato. No es la mejor, pero para efectos de iniciarme en este mundo, está más que perfecta.

Today, I am already buying the materials for tattooing, I already know their names or the necessary ones and soon I know that I will be able to collect my tattoos if I keep practicing as I have been doing so far. I can say that I really like to draw, and it is something that I like to do, it relaxes me even though at the end of each tattoo, I end up with pain even in my soul.

Hoy por hoy, ya me estoy comprando los materiales para tatuar, ya conozco sus nombres o los necesarios y prontamente sé que podré cobrar mis tatuajes si sigo practicando como hasta ahora lo he hecho. Puedo decir que me gusta mucho dibujar, y que es algo que me gusta hacer, me relaja a pesar que al finalizar cada tattoo, termino con dolor hasta en el alma.
