Snowy valley - My accidental adventure

Hello beautiful people, I hope you are feeling great!
I didn't know whether to tell this story today, or at some point in my life, but I was encouraged because now that I see it, it's funny, although I actually also thought the day of my accident.

August 2016, Valle Nevado, Chile, first time I would see and touch snow, one more check in my life that I could fulfill. I had talked with some friends to pay for a tour package with a company that would take you on a bus to the park and bring you back at a certain time.
On the day of departure we all had to be at the meeting point at 8:30 am. With 3 layers of clothes I happily went off to my new adventure, we all arrived on time and started shortly after. When we arrived, we got off at a nearby place where the cars were parked and the rest of us had to walk. As it was early, we decided to have something to eat in a place that was there, very nice by the way, well decorated and decorated with wood as if we were in the Alps; some of us had a coffee, others a hot chocolate. Once we were ready with our stomachs full, we went for a ride, but the most important thing we wanted to do was to go sledding. So we ordered one from the company that took us and a friend and I started to go up the mountain with the sled uphill, it really took us about 15 minutes to go up as high as we could, and to go down in the sled it took you about 1 minute haha, so it was a good cardio.

We went up once, we went all the way to the bottom of the mountain where it was already flat. Then we decided to do it a second time, but this time we wanted to go even higher, the more you go up, the deeper the layer of snow, so it is more difficult to take the steps and of course, you get more tired because of the oxygen at such a high altitude.

We spent about 15 or 20 minutes and decided to stop there, it was already very complicated to continue uphill with the snow almost on our knees. We put the sled on, always holding it because otherwise it would go -without us-, then my friend got on and holding it with one foot, I also got on behind her. I grabbed my cell phone, put it on the selfie stick and when we had everything ready, we set off.

DON'T EVEN TRY THIS AT HOME!
On the ride we were screaming with excitement, and celebrating our mega adventure. The snow was hitting our glasses so it was a little difficult to see the road, going down at a high speed, I dare say we would reach about 60km / h, in the distance we saw a snowman and said "let's go through it with the sled", but 30 seconds later, my friend starts to tell me: ay ay ay ay, I think we are going to ...... we collided with the doll. As we collided we both just flew through the air, I fell face down and felt my face being dragged through the snow like sand. I couldn't get up and heard my friend moaning in pain nearby. I was in unbearable pain all over my body, I tried not to complain and at the same time I laughed, to try to mitigate the pain that felt like a truck had run over me.

When we managed to sit up and get up, I realized that I had lost my sunglasses and my cell phone. I started looking for them and luckily I found them. After we started walking as best we could towards our friends, my friend told me that she was afraid of hitting the dummy and put her foot in to swerve us but couldn't quite make it, so only the back end of the sled was the one that hit the dummy. I was a little shocked at the time because I thought: if she hadn't done that, I probably wouldn't be telling you this story.

But since we had to celebrate getting out of that unfortunate event alive, we laughed and started taking pictures of each other with our injuries. I was bleeding from my nose and areas on my face, and she had hurt her neck. When we got back on the bus, I felt the looks on everyone's faces because they were impressed with my face full of scratches. My friend spent a few weeks in a neck brace and I spent 6 months unable to sit properly because I had hurt my tailbone.

For those of you wondering about the health of the snowman: it was alive and completely intact.
Well, I hope you enjoyed and laughed with me about my crazy but funny adventure.
Hugs...
PS: Never try to bump into a snowman, they become very hard ice, it's like bumping into a rock.
