The largest Penthouse I have ever seen and with an ocean view! - ENG/ESP

As some of you may know from my previous publications, I am an architect by profession, so I usually have to measure buildings. But this time I had to measure something particular, a huge, gigantic building. The building is residential, although the truth is that it looks like a hotel, internally with long corridors just like the common hotels, many continuous apartments, a first floor where there is a gym, a swimming pool and even a chalet that works as a restaurant, oh, and I forgot the access to the beach directly from the building.

Como algunos sabrán gracias a mis publicaciones anteriores, soy arquitecto de profesión, por lo que normalmente me toca medir construcciones. Pero esta vez me tocó una medición algo particular, un edificio enorme, gigante. El edificio es residencial, aunque la verdad parece un hotel, internamente con unos pasillos largos tal cual nos presentan los hoteles comunes, muchos departamentos continuos, una planta baja donde hay un gimnasio, una piscina y hasta un chalet que funciona como restaurante, ah, y olvidaba el acceso a la playa directamente desde el edificio.

But the truth is that I didn't come to tell you about all those things, because to tell you the truth the building is not a big deal since it is very old, but it is very well kept. Today I want to introduce you to the biggest Penthouse I have ever seen in my life. Maybe some of you will not be impressed with its size, but I have not seen anything like it, and well, it is not that I have traveled a lot. Here in Venezuela the apartments are very normal sizes and even small. You can get one room sizes of about 40 mts2 and a normal one of 80 mts2 with 3 bedrooms. But this one, to tell you the truth, I could calculate about 800 mts2 and maybe I am falling short.

Pero la verdad no vine a hablarles de todas esas cosas, porque a decir verdad el edificio no es gran cosa ya que es muy antiguo, pero se mantiene muy bien cuidado. Hoy quiero presentarles el Penthouse mas grande que he visto en mi vida. Quizás algunos no se impresionaran con su tamaño, pero yo no he visto nada parecido, y bueno, tampoco es que he viajado mucho. Aquí en Venezuela los departamentos son de tamaños muy normales y hasta pequeños. Puedes conseguir tamaños de un solo ambiente de unos 40 mts2 y uno normal de 80 mts2 con 3 dormitorios. Pero este, a decir verdad podría calcularle unos 800 mts2 y quizás me esté quedando corta.

It is the only apartment where the private elevator arrives, it is in a corner of the building, and it has a view to three sides. Of course, all sides face the sea. It has 3 floors in total. The floor where you enter, has a large living room, two dining rooms, a maid's room with bathroom and kitchen.

Es el único departamento donde llega el ascensor privado, queda en una esquina del edificio, y tiene vista para tres lados. Por supuesto que todos sus lados ven al mar. Tiene 3 pisos en total. El piso por donde accedes, tiene un gran living principal, dos comedores, una habitación de servicio con su baño y la cocina.

The floor below the main entrance has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The master bedroom is huge, it should have about 70 sqm, the bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom. It has its own terrace.

El piso de abajo del acceso principal, posee 5 habitaciones y 6 baños. La habitación principal es gigante, debe tener unos 70 mts2, el dormitorio, un vestier y un baño. Tiene su propia terraza.

Upstairs it has a bar and a huge terrace with a great view. Now that I think about it, while I was measuring, I realized that I was getting lost with so many spaces. I don't particularly like to live in such big apartments, I think it would make me lazy to walk so much XD.

En el piso de arriba tiene un bar y una terraza enorme con una gran vista. La verdad ahora que me pongo a pensar, mientras medía, me iba dando cuenta que me perdía con tantos espacios. A mí particularmente no me gusta para vivir departamentos tan grandes, creo que me daría flojera caminar tanto XD.

Something that also caught my attention is that only one man lives in that apartment, just him in that giant space. And well, he has a butler who keeps everything in order and clean.

Algo que además me llamó la atención es que solo vive un señor en ese departamento, él nada más en ese espacio gigante. Y bueno, tiene un mayordomo que le mantiene todo en orden y limpio.

If you have come this far, I should mention that I was able to meet the son of a very famous Venezuelan architect called Fruto Vivas, who lives there. So happy because it was a great experience to measure that giant building.
