Could a scent be photographed?
I have asked myself this question several times: "Could a scent be photographed?".
Well, the current technology doesn't support that yet, but there are definitely images that push some cerebral centers or the buttons of our memories and induce smells, aromas and scents.

oooh, I would love to capture smell. Maybe someday, one will develop a technology about it.
i remember the time when we were asked to dig upa dead cattle so we could build its bones up for the laboratory , bu failed to to a very bad smell coming fom it. our instructor didn't believe at first but when a classmate of mine said "if we coild ony send you the smell, then you will believe", there and then she let go of the idea.
I think I've read a couple of years ago about a new technology, invented by a Japanese guy who adds smells in the cinemas for some movies ;) 6 DX? :D
really? Is it really added in the video recording or did they just set an artificial smell and fmigated it in ht right timing as the movie shows the certain smell?
What I remember from the article is that a specific scent is released in the cinema at the right moment ;)

What an aroma your pixels radiate! It's a little like wishing "Smell-o-vision" exists when watching cookery programmes on TV! I sure know what you mean, for me seaside photos always make me think of that salty air, fields of lavender is another one :-)
