In search of a waterfall. Not lucky. Wil have to do that again...

It was a nice, sunny day.
It wasn't hot, it was exactly the "right" temperature to have a walk in the wilderness. Moreover, prior that scenery walk, I've got that info about a very beautiful waterfall, called "Cotlite" in Bulgarian, or in English that would translate to "The Cauldrons".

The name isn't by accident as the falling water gathers inside a huge natural cauldron carved for thousands of years into the rocks...

By following the sat nav, a dirt road brought us a few hundred meters from the fall, where a yellow sign gave us a hint we're going into the right direction. It's good that my car is a four-wheel drive. I would say, a true landscape photographer really needs one tough 4WD :)

Following the trail I saw this pile of rocks with a red arrow aiding along.

The trail was quite narrow and steep so get your best hiking shoes.

After overcoming this challenge, it was strange that down there, next to the cauldrons, it was almost in full silence.

What a disappointment! No falling water. Only a big green puddle, and a slight idea of where the water must be falling from...

Still, quite scenery, though.

The acoustics down there was amazing. It would be perfect for performing an opera, or let's say, a string quartet concert :) The rocks surrounding us were reflecting all sounds and merging them into a weird harmony.

Then I saw the face! Looked in its eyes as well! It really gave the creeps, I'm not sure the photo could demonstrate that same energy of the place and the moment...

After spending a few more tranquil moments and then climbing the trail back up, we've decided to look the area around and walk a bit more. The mountains should keep more beauties, right?

The aroma of the wild herbs was also convincing us we should stay here more!

Then, suddenly, another discovery. A small mountain spring, a holy spring, where another sign was say in a poetical way that if you pray to God and then drink from its waters you will be healthy.

This type of signs, put out there, in the middle of nowhere, always puzzle me. Who finds the time and resources to do that, and why? All I could say is, that's out of a good heart!

Well, just in case you wonder, yes, I took a few sips from that holy spring :)

Since I was a child I suffer from a visual condition, that's why any image catches my attention. Your pictures are beautiful and I especially loved the one of the flowers and insects. Isn't it raining in your area? It's too bad you made that trip to see the waterfall and it was dry. Ah yes I could clearly see the face in the stones and it really looks creepy. Cheers and thanks for sharing

The last few summers are awful. For two, sometimes three months, no rains at all. Springs and autumns are a different story though :) Last winter was dry too, I recall.

Thank you, have some !PIZZA

Thanks a lot, @pinmapple and sorry to tag you again, @livinguktaiwan, I think the link to the user own profile map has changed from https://www.pinmapple.com/@lightcaptured to https://www.pinmapple.com/lightcaptured
The first one was giving one almost empty error page saying "It looks like this page doesn't exist" and I deleted the @ symbol just to try it pooof... it worked :)
You could try that yourself by clicking on the link of the Pinmapple pin bot comment above.
Have a great day!

Hi there @lightcaptured, thanks a lot for letting us know about this. We're still working on revamping Pinmapple and have to iron out a few issues, hence the errors. It's taken longer than expected and the devs are frantically working on it. Hopefully Pinmapple will be back up and running as normal very soon!!

My pleasure :) I know how hard it is to develop and maintain a good and complex web app. I've noticed the other day the pins were off again but later they re-appeared, so I didn't buzz you about that :)
Fingers crossed no more bugs :)
Have a great day!

I had a similar experience once many years ago. It was so frustrating, I can relate.
Well, there's always the next time. Good luck.

There were positive sides of it too, as there was much more time to "scan" the area around. Found other beautiful things :)
Thank you and have a great day!
