Stop! Of Mice and Freedom

The mice that are part of the experiment are fooled into thinking they are happy and free. Generally because they have access to food and the comfort of their warm cages.

They pay for that imaginary safety and warmth with their bodies and souls. With their lives.

Those lives are not unique - they have been born or created to be only a part of the experimental statistics. They can and will be sacrificed at any time suitable to the grand plan.

Sometimes they are given some choices to make. This isn't because it matters what they choose. It is all because the master wants them to have the feeling something depends on them, while in reality, nothing does.

The mice have a long line of experience of being fooled so they feel the truth but they are not designed to see the big picture nor have the power to change their destiny.

The only thing they could tell for sure is that their choices are to pick either the evil or the lesser evil. That choice, of course, does not affect the final game.

Stop. Or don't. Are all mice past the point of really changing anything?
