Thingvellir park rock formations, Iceland

It is amazing, sometimes breathtaking to explore how the time and the elements had been shaping the surface of our beloved planet Earth.

I have to admit that I usually don't pay much attention to rock formations, and as it seems, I definitely have to do more of that.

All photographs here I have taken at the Thingvellir national park in Iceland. More could be read at their official site here: https://www.thingvellir.is/en/

You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

That place is magical. Home of the most ancient parlament in history, if I recall correctly!

Yes, it is a beautiful building, looking like set in the middle of nowhere but with amazing history at the same time. Impressive! Thanks!

Just visited this place a couple of months ago. Cool to see how the land is breaking apart 2cm a year.

Now the ground is heavily shaking again Reyjkjanes peninsula so new eruption might be on the way.

Wow, sounds thrilling. I think this happens everywhere, more or less as I can see some new cracks and land movement almost everywhere I go. Probably normal planet reaction to what we all do to it...
