Travel with LightCaptured - The eternal BBQ or "Small Flame", 17 scenery pictures

Greetings, world travelers!

Do you see that white spot at the end of the dirt road, placed at the middle of the photo?

In terms of Photography, not the perfect composition, LOL.
Anyway.

This place is absolutely unique, something that I haven't seen anywhere else in the world.

In Bulgarian, the place is called "Огънчето", or if I try to translate it literally, that would be something like "The Small Flame". If I have to name it though, that would be "The Eternal BBQ", LMAO. Let me explain now why!

First things first, it could be found close to the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Kamen Bryag (here the English translation would be "Stone Shore").

At the end of the town, approaching the sea, there is a dirt road that goes just a few feet away from "Ogancheto". You don't need a 4WD car to get there, the road is almost flat and any car could bring you to this stone and fire facility, if I may say that.

Along the road, many herbs and wild flowers grow. I saw plenty of thyme spots.

And herbs in blossoms.

Now here is an elevated view of the Ogancheto:

Now have you noticed the flame in the middle of the central small pile of rocks?

It burns 24/7, 365 days in the year. And 366 days in a leap year, LOL. Some time ago local people noticed there is a small source of natural gas among the rocks of the shore and they placed a metallic pipe bringing that a few tens of meters to the inland.

The huge thick hand-built stone, surrounding it all provides wind protection and keeps the flame burning. Only a small entrance has been left to the Southern part of it.

Also, the wall has been built in a way that more than ten persons could sit around this natural barbeque :)

I suppose you've noticed the metallic pipe line bringing the natural gas to the center.

There is no reservation system for it, hehehe. So if there is some free room, you're always welcome to do some grilling.

The area around is stunningly beautiful.

I guess you'll probably be inspired to play an instrument and sing along, while the meat or the vegetables get gradually grilled...

The shore is really tall here, somewhat thirty meters, I'd say.

The town of Kamen Bryag and this whole area of the Bulgarian Black Sea shores, is considered less populated and in the summer, when the active tourist and vacation period is in its peak power, it would be busier and as the summers are really hot, I suppose The Flame will be occupied during the nights.

I found plenty of memorial stones and plates of people who passed away nearby so be very careful!

Finally, I'd say that I find magical the way the shore touches the horizon. That blending or I should probably say "merging" feels really endless...

That place put a spell on me.

Now a full night of stars, warmth, music and BBQ there with friends is on my bucket list!

Very cool from the flame that it is just there. I would call it that way too, now knowing about it.

That is simply fabulous! A barbecue grill ready to use all year long!!! 🤗
If the fishing fails, just catch an annoying Chihuahua and lunch will be served. 😂

Are you sure you can barbecue here? 🤔 So cool! 😃 Leaving the gastronomic and practical part aside, this place really looks magical. It kind of reminds me of the fiery springs or fountains I read about once. Have you seen such a thing somewhere, because I read that there are such in Bulgaria?
And this place here confirms my point of view that Bulgaria has wonderful places to visit, they are many in number, they are unique in their kind, very beautiful and very impressive. As opposed to this country not being a good place to live. It is only suitable for visiting because it really has something to show travelers.
Thank you for showing here this really great hidden natural-manmade gem!

I suspect that's the main reason this place has been "built".
The most of us can't live without food, right? :)))
You're right though, it does look like a spring!
