Walking the streets in mono

Greetings!

The weekend is here, hopefully that means more time on your plates for good stuff and not work only. ;)

Let me use the occasion to wish you all a great weekend with some black and white photographs I took on the streets of Cambridge, England, the United Kingdom :)

It is always nice to ramble the streets, even with no direction, right?

You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

Love B&W too, there is something about learning to see in the format and the processing is fun too. Cambridge is a lovely city, last went in 2019 and eager to go back again.

Thank you!
I almost always shoot in RAW but still, the preview screen of my camera is in B&W so I better see the exposure and focus on composition and don't get distracted by the colors :)

That’s a great way of doing it. I heard there was a camera that actually only shoots black and white, a digital and don’t know if that was true or not.
