Where transports meet
The very first time I went to the train station of Copenhagen, I was amazed not only by its awesome architecture, but also from the amount of bicycles "parked" outside.
In rows, on two floors, sometimes left in a hurry, sometimes put carefully there by their owners.
Unfortunately, where I live at the moment, the cars and their owners are respected better, while those, who go to work on their bicycles or using those new and still modern electrical scooters and other electric vehicles, are not taken seriously. However, I believe the inflation and the skyrocketing prices of the fossil fuels will make everyone reconsider and start living a cleaner and simpler life.
Yes, I am one "kinda" technical guy and I know from experience that everything running on electricity and not fossil fuels has much simpler construction. At some point batteries will become much better and this will be the end of people polluting the Earth. Hopefully, much sooner than anticipated.
Anyways, enjoy these travel pictures I have taken at the beautiful trains station of Copenhagen, Denmark. <3
I'd say, if not the transport heart of the capital, that place is at least a major artery :) ... with the most types of public and private transport flowing around it and meeting, creating that specific atmosphere. Too bad I can't pass to you the smell of the place, it is so specific as well... (yup. some local coins found while waiting for the train to the airport...)

The way I see the future is that we will have to switch to alternatives. In Belgium the public transport is really bad. I don't know about other countries. We tried a few times switching to public transport. First time was for my hubby to go to work. With the car it took him 1 hour. With the public transport is was nearly 2,5 hours!
Oh, quite a difference. I am sure at some point out ancestors will laugh at us, or be mad for polluting the planet that much. Hopefully that happens sooner and something is left for them :) I am sure there is a cleaner and more efficient solution.
I think the situation with the public transport is different everywhere. When I was living in London, it was taking me about 30 minutes to go to the office with the Tube, while it costed more than an hour and a half with a car.

I loved the transport system in London. It was so easy and you can jump from one route to another. Here there's only 1 bus every hour and the connections are terrible. 😥
Oh, I see. Where I live at the moment, it's similar. Moreover, I have no idea who comes out with the schedules but usually it is outside the hours I need :))) I suppose, it is a matter of profitability at the end. As almost everything else in our sophisticated world :)

The bikes so remind me of the Netherlands… in every way hahaha 🤣 cool to see!
The first thing my daughter purchased when she went to study in Rotterdam, was a bike :D

Hahaha so cool… 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲 yep, you need it there. 😉😎
Oh my god that brings back memories from quite a lot of time I spent there nearly 20 years ago. The amount of bikes and the heap they were in was incredible. I'd swear some of them had been there years! Looks like they're a little more organised now!
Really, thanks for the reminder of a long forgotten memory and best wishes :-)
My pleasure! :)
And thank you :)
Indeed, some of those looked like they are forgotten there...
