Jane was putting in final touches to the decorations of the living room. A visit to the house would definitely tells anyone that a celebration is about to take place. The entrance is adorned with confetti-filled balloons and paper straw garlands hanging around the entrance door. Jane had put into good use her knowledge of DIY decorations.

What is about to happen is special in the lives of Jane and her hubby, Japhet though the latter wasn't available in person due to an official trip but he is always engaging his wife on phone to know the level of preparations. Their bundle of joy is 5 and they'd wanted her to have a memorable mark of it. The circumstances through which Happiness was conceived and birthed was an emotional one. The pressure from family and friends regarding their ten years childlessness after wedding was becoming unbearable before Jane eventually conceived and was delivered of Happiness.

Right from that time, the couple see Happiness as a child that came to wipe away their tears and sadness. Her naming ceremony remains the talk of town even though it's getting to five years. The party was an event to behold. Their bundle of joy is marking another milestone of clocking five.

Invitations had been sent to family and friends and also the schoolmates of Happiness. A lot of children with their parents and other adults are being expected. The preparation was made to accommodate far above the population of the expected guests and well-wishers.

Taking a step into the living room, the party venue, the partywares could be seen in their proper positions. The table was well covered with tablecloths. Beverages and luncheon are ready and could be sighted at a far corner of the room. The event is children focused and as typical of children, they like to see what they are going to eat to make their participations lively. The cake is standing on the table with surrounding dinner plates, cups and cutleries. A display of sweet bunting tucked into a cake makes the presentation charming.

A flower-bomb installation is handy to impress the guest of honour and delight the family and friends. A colourful tissue paper confetti was used to write "Happiness, Happy birthday", "Hurray, Happiness is 5" behind the cake table. The whole room was covered with lightening of many colours. The beauty of the settings was a top notch.

All is set and the party is to kick-start any moment. Invited guests, friends of the celebrants, neighbours from the estate where they live and other well wishers are sitted and from the DJ corner, birthday songs are oozing out of the speakers to make the arena a standout.

At exactly 4pm, the party started with one of the invited children called upon to lead the opening prayer. It was all laughter when Fred's prayer centered on God providing food for them and huge money for their parents. Perhaps, he showed brilliance in his requests. Followed with the prayer was playing games by the kids. Games were played with prices such as chocolates and other things given to the the kids that attempted and those that won too.

Then, here comes the interview session with the celebrant by the Master of Ceremony, MC.

Beautiful and elegant girl. What is your name?

The MC asked the first question.

My name is Happiness Japhet. She replied

What day is your birthday?

My birthday is 2nd of August 2022 which is today.

The interview session was going on smoothly to the applause of audience with respect to Happiness' intelligence quotient. The audience were however amazed when she was asked about what she likes about her brother and her response was;

I don't have a brother but I pray to have one. I'll love him

Jane could be seen cleaning her face of some tears coming out due to her emotional state. She wondered what should have prompted Happiness to make such prayers because only she and her husband knew of her one month old pregnancy. Whether the expected baby would a brother or sister to Happiness is yet to be ascertained.

After this session, the mother was invited to give a remark.
She went back to memory lane and explained how she and her husband stayed for ten years looking for child before having Happiness. The impact of her coming to their lives was responsible for the choice of name she bears. She offered prayers for her daughter and other children in attendance with other guests. She delivered the message of her husband who was outside the country on a diplomatic assignment. He later said hello to the audience via a zoom session.

Birthday song was sang by the audience while her friends accompanied her as she cut the cake. It was followed by a dancing session where all the children displayed their dancing skills. It was a movie night as the children exhibited uncommon energy in response to the song mixed by the DJ. Other children were given opportunities, at intervals, to make their wishes for the celebrant. A cameraman was in the house to cover every inch of the event. Photographer was also available to keep records of the party in pictures. The kids took group pictures with the celebrant, their parents and others. It was fun fun fun.

While this was going on, food were being served for the guest.

Before rounding up the party, Happiness and her mum showed that the guests are precious and should be appreciated for honouring their invitation and celebrating with them. Here comes the favour bags presented to each and every guest to make the memory of the party linger in their minds.
