A delicious coffee on a cold morning [ESP-ENG]

Hello friends of Cinnamon Cup Coffee, cordial greetings to all with a lot of Cuban warmth, although these days it is getting very cold in my beautiful Caribbean island. Yesterday the temperature records were alarming, we Cubans are not used to such a strong cold, as this island has quite warm temperatures almost all year round.

This weekend I was visiting my nephews in the city of Cienfuegos in the province of the same name, it is a place that I love. On Saturday I went out with my nephew Raysel and my sister-in-law Neni as I affectionately call her, despite the cold weather we decided to take a walk through part of this beautiful city, near the Prado we found a small but nice place called Café San Carlos, it is located on the corner where San Carlos and Hourruitiner streets cross, almost in the centre of the city, I want to show you why they make very good coffees and with very nice presentation.

Hola amigos de Cinnamon Cup Coffee , saludos cordiales a todos con mucho calor cubano, aunque en estos días está haciendo mucho frío en mi bella isla caribeña. Ayer los registros de temperatura fueron alarmantes, los cubanos no estamos acostumbrados a un frío tan fuerte, ya que esta isla tiene temperaturas bastante cálidas casi todo el año.

Este fin de semana estuve visitando a mis sobrinos en la ciudad de Cienfuegos en la provincia del mismo nombre, es un lugar que me encanta. El sábado salí con mi sobrino Raysel y mi cuñada Neni como cariñosamente la llamo, a pesar del frío decidimos dar un paseo por parte de esta hermosa ciudad, cerca del Prado encontramos un pequeño pero agradable lugar llamado Café San Carlos, está ubicado en la esquina donde se cruzan las calles San Carlos y Hourruitiner, casi en el centro de la ciudad, quiero mostrarles porque hacen muy buenos cafés y con muy bonita presentación.

As I said the place is small but very cosy, inside the walls are painted red and the columns are black, outside it is light with aluminium windows and doors with glass, so in spite of the strong colours everything is very clear. When I approached the place the smell attracted me, Cubans like coffee very much and that little smell envelops us, I could not overlook it.

Como dije el local es pequeño pero muy acogedor, por dentro las paredes estan pintadas de rojo y las columnas negra, por fuera es claro con ventanas y puertas de aluminio con cristales, por tanto a pesar de los colores fuertes todo se ve muy claro. Cuando me acerqué al lugar el olor me atrajo, a los cubanos nos gusta mucho el café y ese olorcito nos envuelve, no pude pasarlo por alto.

The place has a white bar decorated with red and black stripes, right next to the bar two small tables with high stools, then there is a larger room with smaller tables and stools and a sofa with a small table, all made of wood, I really liked the design, very suitable for the get-togethers that we like to accompany our coffees. I stood at the bar for a while watching the guy in charge of decorating the cafés, he really is an artist, he made the drawings with great precision.

El local tiene una barra blanca decorada con rayas rojas y negras, justo al lado de la barra dos mesas pequeñas con taburetes altos, luego hay una sala más grande con mesas y taburetes más pequeños y un sofá con una mesita, todo de madera, me gustó mucho el diseño, muy adecuado para las tertulias que nos gusta acompañar nuestros cafés. Me quedé un rato en la barra observando al encargado de decorar los cafés, realmente es un artista, hacía los dibujos con gran precisión.

Although the walls are red, they are not aggressive to the eye, on the contrary, they look quite funny, because they have white drawings of women and men from bygone eras, the men with their walking sticks and covering the ladies with parasols, which gave a cheerful touch to the place. On the bar there was a sign with white letters on a black background that read "Would you like a .... Coffee?

Aunque las paredes son rojas, no resultan agresivas a la vista, al contrario, parecen bastante graciosas, porque tienen dibujos en blanco de mujeres y hombres de épocas pasadas, los hombres con sus bastones y cubriendo a las damas con sombrillas, lo que daba un toque alegre al local. En la barra había un cartel con letras blancas en un fondo negro que decia "¿ Te apetece un.... Café?

As you can see from the menu, which was kindly brought to us by a shop assistant, they have many speciality coffees. They also offer a variety of snacks, in fact we ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, but the speciality of the house is the delicious coffee.

Como se puede ver en la carta, que amablemente nos trajo un dependiente, tienen muchas especialidades de café. También ofrecen aperitivos variados, de hecho pedimos un bocadillo de jamón y queso, pero la especialidad de la casa es el delicioso café.

My nephew and my sister-in-law ordered Moscachino, a coffee with milk cream and a small decoration made of chocolate, served in ceramic cups with the name of Cuba.

Mi sobrino y mi cuñada pidieron Moscachino, un café con crema de leche y una pequeña decoración hecha de chocolate, servido en tazas de cerámica con el nombre de Cuba.

I ordered a Café Bombón, a glass cup with condensed milk, chocolate, coffee and a little milk cream on which the decoration is made. They all have different decorations which are very nice, I really liked that detail and of course the coffee is also very good.

Yo pedí un Café Bombón, una taza de cristal con leche condensada, chocolate, café y un poco de crema de leche sobre la que se hace la decoración. Todas tienen decoraciones diferentes que son muy bonitas, me gustó mucho ese detalle y por supuesto el café también está muy bueno.
