Dear Hive friends, as I have explained, I like everything in Havana, especially the oldest part of the city, the historic center, for me it is fascinating. Yesterday I took advantage of the fact that my husband had to go to his brother's house who lives quite close to the historic center and since I didn't have to work I went with him, I went with my plan in mind to convince him and walk a little. And I did it!!!

It was a short but pleasant walk and as always interesting, because we went to the Dark Camera, it is an Internal Viewpoint that is located in one of the tallest buildings in this area called Gómez Vila, which is located in one of the corners of the Plaza Old.

Queridos amigos de Hive, como les he explicado, me gusta todo en La Habana, especialmente la parte más antigua de la ciudad, el centro histórico, para mi es fascinante. Ayer aproveché que mi esposo tenía que ir a casa de su hermano que vive bastante cerca del centro histórico y como no tenía que trabajar fui con él, fui con mi plan en mente para convencerlo y caminar un poco. ¡¡¡Y lo hice!!!
Fue un paseo corto pero agradable y como siempre interesante, pues fuimos a la Cámara Oscura, es un Mirador Interno que se encuentra en uno de los edificios más altos de esta zona llamado Gómez Vila, que se encuentra en una de las esquinas de la Plaza Vieja.

The viewpoint has a periscope that is located in the dome of the building, you have to take the elevator to the 8th floor. It is a room equipped with dark curtains that has a concave screen in the center and all the visitors sit around it, while there is a specialist who gives all the explanations in Spanish and English and guides the team. There they explained to us that the camera was a donation from Cádiz, Spain, it is through lights and mirror reflections that all the images of Havana that surrounds us are observed in real time on the concave screen, that is, it is like going to from the top of a tower and looking down you can see all of Havana, but we saw everything in that room through that screen.

El mirador tiene un periscopio que se encuentra en la cúpula del edificio, hay que tomar el ascensor hasta el 8vo piso. Es una sala equipada con cortinas oscuras que tiene una pantalla cóncava en el centro y alrededor de ella se ubican todos los visitantes, mientras hay un especialista que da todas las explicaciones en español e inglés y guía al equipo. Allí nos explicaron que la cámara era una donación de Cádiz, España, es a través de luces y reflejos de espejos que en la pantalla cóncava se observan en tiempo real todas las imágenes de La Habana que nos rodea, o sea, es como ir a lo alto de una torre y mirando hacia abajo se ve toda La Habana, pero nosotros vimos todo en ese cuarto a través de esa pantalla.

The experience was very interesting for me, they explained to us that there are 74 Camera Obscuras in the world, you can see the life of the city like this in a perimeter of about 5 km around, the specialist who guided the team pointed out the places highlights of Havana, the Capitol was seen, the Lonja del Comercio with its unique structure, it has 5 floors and each one with a different structure, the Christ of Havana that can be seen crossing the sea of ​​the bay, the Bacardi building , the Russian Orthodox Cathedral with its 6 domes, of which 2 are gold sheets and the remaining 4 bronze, shine a lot, you can see the Cathedral Square, people coming and going, also walking through the Square, you see some people on their balconies, some hanging laundry, the cars, that is, the city with all its colors and movements, a very beautiful tour of havana

A mi me resultó muy interesante la experiencia, nos explicaron que hay 74 Camera Obscuras en el mundo, se puede ver la vida de la ciudad como esta en un perímetro de unos 5 kilómetros a la redonda, la especialista que guió al equipo señaló los lugares más destacados de La Habana, se vio el Capitolio, la Lonja del Comercio con su estructura única, tiene 5 pisos y cada uno con una estructura diferente, el Cristo de La Habana que se puede ver cruzando el mar de la bahía, el edificio Bacardí, la Catedral Ortodoxa Rusa con sus 6 cúpulas, de las cuales 2 son de láminas de oro y las 4 restantes de bronce, brillan mucho, se puedes ver la Plaza de la Catedral, gente yendo y viniendo, también paseando por la Plaza, ves algunas personas en sus balcones, algunas tendiendo ropa lavada, los autos, es decir, la ciudad con todos sus colores y movimientos, un recorrido por la habana muy bonito

Leaving the place where the Camera Obscura is located, there is an adjoining terrace, from where you can see part of Havana, views that we had already been shown through the periscope, which now look much more distant. I took advantage and took some photos, I was able to capture the Capitol in the distance and on the other hand the Russian Orthodox Cathedral and part of the Bay of Havana.

Saliendo del lugar donde se encuentra la Cámara Oscura, hay una terraza contigua, desde donde se puede ver parte de La Habana, vistas que ya nos habían mostrado a través del periscopio, que ahora se ven mucho más distantes. Aproveché y tomé algunas fotos, pude capturar a lo lejos el Capitolio y por otro lado la Catedral Ortodoxa Rusa y parte de la Bahía de La Habana.

Leaving the building where the Camera Obscura is located on Calle Amargura, on the next corner we came across the Chocolate Museum, very sweet despite being located on that street hehehe, We made a stop because inside, in addition to exposing the origins of chocolate and the different types there is a cafeteria where varieties of chocolates are offered and as a faithful chocolate lover that I am, I wanted to taste one of their specialties. Well, we had a creamy hot chocolate and we bought some chocolate cigars and we brought a chocolate bear for my mom and my son.

Saliendo del edificio donde se encuentra la Cámara Oscura en la Calle Amargura, en la siguiente esquina nos topamos con el Museo del Chocolate, muy dulce a pesar de estar ubicado en esa calle jejeje, Hicimos una parada porque dentro además de exponer los orígenes del chocolate y los diferentes tipos hay una cafetería donde se ofrecen variedades de chocolates y como fiel amante del chocolate que soy, quería saborear una de sus especialidades. Bueno, tomamos un chocolate caliente cremoso y compramos unos tabacos de chocolate y llevamos un osito de chocolate para mi mamá y mi hijo.

On the way back we entered the museum of fragrances, it is a museum that I have always liked a lot because more than 50 fragrances are made, all of them exquisite, they have a laboratory where the different formulas of the aromas are created, but in reality it was not yet fully open , we could only lean out and look a little, since there were hardly any fragrances, they are almost always sold to the public but the few that were were only for display.

De regreso entramos al museo de las fragancias, es un museo que siempre me ha gustado mucho porque se hacen más de 50 fragancias, todas exquisitas, tienen un laboratorio donde se crean las diferentes fórmulas de los aromas, pero en realidad aún no estaba abierta totalmente, solo pudimos asomarnos y mirar un poco, ya que apenas había fragancias, casi siempre se venden al público pero las pocas que había eran solo de exhibición.
