Wednesday walk. Strolling through beautiful Miramar Park [Eng-Esp]
Hi friends, yesterday I was in one of the most beautiful parks in the city due to its abundant vegetation and a beautiful central dome. This large park covers a whole block and is located on 5th avenue between 24th and 26th streets, in the Miramar district of Havana. It has several paths lined with benches to rest in the shade of the tall trees that surround it.
Hola amigos, ayer estuve en uno de los parques más bonitos de la ciudad debido a su abundante vegetación y una hermosa cúpula central. Este amplio parque abarca una manzana completa y se encuentra en la 5ta avenida entre las calles 24 y 26, en el reparto Miramar, de la Habana. Cuenta con varios senderos bordeados de bancos para descansar a la sombra de los altos árboles que lo rodean.
This park has numerous majestic trees, which have large and long roots. Despite the intense heat and the strong sun of this season in Cuba, it feels pleasantly cool and it is pleasant to spend some time sitting and enjoying the surroundings and the breeze. However, I must mention that the park currently lacks attention, as I found many branches and leaves on the ground covering the paths.
Este parque tiene numerosos árboles majestuosos, que tienen raíces grandes y largas. A pesar del intenso calor y el fuerte sol de esta temporada en Cuba, se siente una agradable frescura y es placentero pasar un rato sentado disfrutando del entorno y la brisa. Sin embargo, debo mencionar que actualmente el parque carece de atención, ya que encontré muchas ramas y hojas en el suelo que cubrían los caminos.
In one corner of the park there is a monument, a stone column surrounded by palm trees, where stands the bust of General Mariano Ignacio Prado, who was president of the Republic of Peru.
En una esquina del parque se encuentra un monumento, una columna de piedra rodeada de palmeras, donde se erige el busto del General Mariano Ignacio Prado, quien fue presidente de la República del Perú.
In the centre of the park is an impressive dome with 16 columns divided into four groups of four supporting it. It is a beautiful gazebo with a lustrous granite floor, where activities used to take place in the past. To access it you have to climb a small staircase with four steps.
En el centro del parque hay una impresionante cúpula con 16 columnas divididas en cuatro grupos de cuatro que la sostienen. Se trata de una hermosa glorieta con un lustroso suelo de granito, donde antiguamente se realizaban actividades. Para acceder a ella hay que subir una pequeña escalera de cuatro peldaños.
If we continue beyond the roundabout, coming from 5th Avenue, we will find a small red path lined with vegetation that leads us to the statue of the Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi, one of the most relevant figures of the Hindu independence movement that managed to get India out of being a British colony.
Si continuamos más allá de la rotonda, viniendo desde la 5ª avenida, encontraremos un pequeño sendero rojo bordeado de vegetación que nos lleva hasta la estatua del líder indio Mahatma Gandhi, una de las figuras más relevantes del movimiento independentista hindú que consiguió sacar a la India de ser colonia británica.

Ese parque me encanta, hubo un tiempo en que iba a practicar yoga muy cerca y después de la clase me sentaba bajo esos Ficus maravillosos a tomar el fresco y charlar con amigas. He sentido añoranza de esos tiempos tan calmos que ya no volverán.

Si querida , es un parque muy bonito y te comprendo porque a pesar de haber estado allí siento también añoranza de ese propio parque en otros tiempos , pero todavía sigue siendo un bello parque , hace falta que le den un poco de mimos para que no se pierda , gracias por pasar hermosa ❤️
