Hello Ladies!!

I have gone through a few difficult moments at my still young age. I’ve had several pillars that have supported me. The main ones have always been my parents and my maternal grandmother. My mom and my grandmother are the ones who have carried the greatest weight in solving my problems.

Sometimes it has been advice, other times money lent that turned into money gifted, and in other cases it has been their example as super women that allowed me to get out of the storm. This last point is what has had the greatest impact on my character.

Both ladies are what people call strong women. Neither of them has trembled when life’s difficulties begin. My grandmother, for example, has had more professions than hairs on her head: electrician, teacher, radio director, insurance agent.

At 80 years old she’s still fighting and sharper than ever. My mom is cut from the same cloth. Despite having a damaged leg, she is the one who keeps the household stable. When she worked, she was the head of a maternity ward, and imagine that she ran that place like a landowner. Now she is retired due to her disability but remains very active, with a small family business, as well as sewing and producing handbags and backpacks (she’s an expert at that).

Both have strong characters, and @alto96 says I inherited that trait from them. However, I still haven’t managed to carry myself the way they do. Nevertheless, I work on it and I confess I’ve improved a little.

Today I am far from my native province, seeking new opportunities in Cuba’s capital. Right now it is a very complex period for me. Several changes are happening and will continue to happen, so it can perfectly be described as a difficult moment.

I am far from both of them, but their example will be enough to overcome the challenges that come from now on. After these new battles, I am sure I will be a little more like them.

¡¡Hola Ladies!!

He pasado unos cuantos momentos difíciles a mi aún corta edad. He tenido varios pilares que me han sostenido. Los principales siempre han sido mis padres y mi abuela materna. Mi mamá como mi abuela son las que mayor peso han tenido en las soluciones a mis problemas.

Algunas veces han sido consejos, otras veces ha sido dinero prestado que se convierte en dinero regalado, y en otras ha sido su ejemplo como súper mujeres, lo que me ha permitido a salir de la tormenta. Este último punto, es lo que más impacto ha tenido en mi carácter.

Ambas señoras son de lo que se dice por ahí mujeres de pelo en pecho. Ninguna de las dos ha temblado cuando comienzan las dificultades de la vida. Mi abuela por ejemplo, ha tenido más profesiones que pelos en su cabeza. Electricista, maestra, directora de radio,agente de seguros.

Con 80 años en sus costillas todavía sigue dando guerra y está más lúcida que nunca. Mi mamá es de la misma madera. A pesar de tener una pierna destrozada, es quien mantiene la estabilidad de la casa. Cuándo trabajaba, era la jefa de un salón de partos, e imagínense que dirigía ese lugar como un terrateniente. Ahora está jubilada debido a su discapacidad pero se mantiene bien activa, con un pequeño negocio familiar, así como con la costura y la producción de bolsos y mochilas (es una experta en eso).

Ambas tienen un carácter fuerte, y dice @alto96 que heredé ese rasgo de ambas. Sin embargo, aún no logro desenvolverme como ellas lo hacen. No obstante trabajo en base a ello y confieso que he mejorado un poco.

Hoy estoy lejos de mi provincia natal, y estoy buscando nuevas oportunidades en la capital de Cuba. Es ahora mismo un período muy complejo para mí. Varios cambios están sucediendo y seguirán ocurriendo, así que puede calificarse perfectamente como un momento difícil.

Estoy lejos de ambas, pero con su ejemplo será suficiente para sobrepasar los desafíos que vengan a partir de ahora. Después de estas nuevas batallas, estoy segura que seré un poco más como ellas.
