A restful weekend with my boys

It really was a wonderful Saturday. We were already needing to oxygenate our time together by doing something different. During the week I was thinking about where my family and I could come to spend a nice and fun day, a place that wasn't very expensive and that we could afford, so, after doing a little research we went to the Marina Marlin. Days before, my husband and I went to a nearby beach and spent some time in the afternoon since it is relatively close to home. It was then that we devised the plan to return with the child for the weekend and live a new experience in family, always seeking to unite our ties more.

We weren't really clear about what things were like. I don't remember having been to that place before, nor does my husband, even though we are from the same city, but, in reality, it is not a place where people usually go a lot. The reasons are not clear to me, but perhaps many think like us: that it is a military area and that access is restricted. But, not fortuitously, we managed to access without any problems. There were only a few people inside who had reserved part of the facility, the rest was empty. We did a little research around the area, we were in "local explorer" mode before arriving and launching ourselves completely. First we asked at a hotel next door called Punta Gorda, that's where the photos I show in the second colash come from, but in reality the boats you see are those of the Marina Marlin that give a fabulous view of all the surroundings. At the hotel they told us that they provided lunch service to the general public and that guests had other offers but that at that time they were out of capacity for reservations.

We really enjoyed not only the stay at the facility but the way there. The area is peripheral, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, although it is not completely polluted, there are factories and a thermoelectric plant nearby, in reality it is not a natural area or an ecological reserve, but rather anthropized, although with much less traffic and less noise. own environment. We had already had a little of that during the week the day we went, but the boy had not made that trip with us until that moment and he was also enjoying the trip, although what he was most looking forward to was getting to the beach.

I really couldn't stop thinking about how good the place was in relation to quality and price and the fact that I hadn't discovered it before. We just arrived, we asked if we could enter at that moment, I thought that perhaps since a company had reserved part of the place we would not be able to enter, but the surprise was even greater when they told us that yes, that if we wanted we could enter and enjoy the facility. Fortunately, the entrance covers were reasonably priced, which draws a lot of attention considering that in my country the prices tend to be surreal most of the time and simple workers, the proletarian class, cannot access places like these. most of the time, hence the constant "astonishment" that you will notice in my publication.

The Cristal beer, one of the favorites in my country for its quality and freshness, was very cheap compared to the prices it normally has. Notice that, I, who don't like beer in the slightest, had to drink two, simply for the fact that it seemed sacrilege not to take advantage of that opportunity on behalf of my friends' brewers hahaha.

Shortly after arriving we rented a water bike for an hour, once again at a very cheap price. We invited a friend of ours who we met there and the tour was very fun. My child enjoyed it very much. They put life jackets on us all and we went for a walk around the reservoir. It is actually a bay that is surrounded by keys. The view is beautiful.

The boys jumped into the water several times and I took some very nice photos of them in the middle of the sea. We made the most of the rental hour and went very far on the water bike. We even got to the other shore, where the beach my husband and I had gone to that same week was located. There were families spending their weekend there.

We returned just for lunch. We had brought a delicious spaghetti and meatball that I prepared as a light meal for the occasion and we ate it quietly on the sun loungers. Then, we went to bed to rest and digest in peace. First we were lying down enjoying the views and then we went to the sea. A yellow raft and umbrella contrasted beautifully with the sea and the black color of my swimsuit. I really liked these photos that my husband took of me.

In the afternoon we returned to the sea. We played a little in the water until we exhausted our desire to have fun. Maty, my boy, made friends with a boy his age and they played a little in the sand building things until it was finally time for snack. To my surprise (once again) I discovered that they were selling boxes of ice cream and we bought a chocolate one that we ate together.

We spent the return home talking about how great our day together as a family had been. Truly a place worth returning to soon. I recommend this place to hivers friends from Santiago de Cuba to spend a very pleasant weekend with the family. Thank you for reading this post that I have been very happy to share with you!!!
